What you see is what you get. So I begin to grasp its' the same here - what you hear (one output of the mixer) is what you'll record. (another output of the mixer) I've been struggling for years to understand the best way of using the mixer - before or after the computer... So it's before that's the best. Thanks. (it gets complicated with different music machines and synthesizers connected by midi.)

Thanks for this video. I’m curious why you chose XLR to 1/4” into the interface and not XLR to XLR? Is there a reason why your choice would’ve better? Thanks.
@MusicRepo2 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you plug an XLR into audio interface then for most interfaces they automatically switch to mic level. You need to use 1/4" for line level. Signal from mixer is line level. Unless you have an interface that will allow you to select line level input with XLR connections then you should use the 1/4" Hope that explains my thinking

Thank you!!! Great video!!! I have a quick question... I currently use the Behringer Xenyx QX1202usb but when I got to the sound card M-Audio M-Track 2x2 (C-series) the voice changes pitch in my live on streamyard... any idea how to fix that??? If I use the Mtrack alone doesn't happen but I want to add instruments and more mics that is why I use the mixer... when I use the mixer usb alone, I can't hear the invite on our stream not sure why... help please!!!

Thanks for your help but I am confused from the start as I have a wireless FiFine headmic which only has a one ended XLR lead which goes from my headset to the base that attaches to my mic belt and a USB stick that attaches to my computer. It has no other input except on the USB stick which will take a small jack?

Thanks a Lot. I must say you have such a talent for explaining stuff that can get complicated in a very simple way. Thank you soooo much. To me it is still not clear to me, what is the best way to hear ones on mix over zoom - I'm using the headphone outlet on the mixer using a mini-jack / mini-jack cable into to the external speaker - any suggestions how to "do it right"? Furthermore as our classes over zoom are "two-way" when we ask feedback from the participants we need to hear them - I have understood it correctly hearing what I stream is not the same as hearing what comes back to me via zoom - Any suggestions how I should do this in the settings. Thanks again for you all your great instruction videos. With then much of the fear of getting it done right really relaxes. I hope you understand my questions - I'm not a tech freak at all. Just need to get it working and have a good sound coming out to our participants.

Very useful video! Thanks! Just one quick question: I am planning to do audio streaming on my phone through Clubhouse or Video Streaming on my phone through something like Facebook, KZbin or Tiktok. Can I connect the Audio Interface or a USB Keyboard (like Yamaha AG06 or Behringer QX1002USB) directly with my phone? Or through iRig2? I have been reading a lot on the web but I am still confused.

hello watched it from Philippines! i have question about this,can i do this vice versa? meaning i will connect the output of audio interface to audio mixer,the reason is my audio interface has struggling powering headphones,yes i can hear sounds from my audio interface,but is to low,even the volume is max,so someone said i need headphone amplifier for that,but instead,can i used the mixer as headphone amplifier? by the way,my audio interface is M track Duo by M-audio

Very nice video, with points. I have 2 doubts. #1 Scarlett 2i4 - Does the Midi works if the keyboard doesn't have driver support from the manufacturer? #2 With this setup, we can have live phone calls in podcast like in Radio, right?

Hello, thanks for this. I really appreciate how well you explained everything. I think the only thing that overwhelmed me was the number of cables involved just to get the phone music out of a mixer console. I have a follow up question. If I just want to play music from my iphone in Zoom via an audio interface, can I bypass the mixer and connect the two line-in 1/4 inch mono jacks directly into the Scarlett? I then just select Scarlett in my Zoom audio and can listen to the music? Would that work?
@MusicRepo2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you could, but you'd also need to connect a mic to the interface so you can get a combination of your music and voice in Zoom. You don't have to use a mixer. But if you only have a 2 channel interface then the music will be mono.

Thank you so much for your helpful videos, which I'm going through carefully! I have a small problem with my laptop I think: it's only recognising Mic/Line 1 on my new 2 channel interface. But I need to plug in both a phantom powered mic and keyboard. If I bought a mixer, could I take a mono output from the mixer into the interface? (Ie just one cable into Line 1!) Or is there an even cheaper solution! Thank you xxx

This is wonderful! I appreciate what you do because this information is difficult to find and digest! I posted a question to you on FB but I'll share it here as well - How do I get the same quality of audio while using a livestream app on my phone to teach fitness classes? Currently, I teach Zumba on Zoom (otherwise known as ZOOM-BA), however Zumba just released a branded livestream app (with Vimeo as the back end). But we can only stream via the app and sadly I just learned how to create my ideal setup on the computer, lol! Therefore I'm wondering, is it possible to use the same equipment you mentioned here in the video (audio interface, analog mixer, external speaker, cell phone) to achieve the same or better quality of sound when streaming using the app? The only thing I know to do right now is play music on my computer to an external speaker during the livestream because my cell phone will pick up the sound. It's NOT ideal though, given I'd like to use a wireless mic AND provide "crystal clear audio experience" for my students. Please help!

Does the Zumba app you have to use only work on mobile devices or is there a desktop version?
@susandwagner4 жыл бұрын
@@MusicRepo Sadly it's only available to us on mobile devices. I know Vimeo has a desktop version but I would have to buy it separately outside of Zumba (and I'd prefer to use the mobile app simply bc it comes with my monthly Zumba instructor subscription.)

To make it simpler, instead of adding an Audio Interface to connect the Mixer to the Computer, I would use the the Phone Jack of the Mixer.

Maybe, not sure what the quality would be like ... plus the combined headphone/mic ports on laptops are not the best for recording line levels
