If you love Corey's voice and want more of the softer side of it, the Slipknot song "Snuff" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. But you should also check out Corey's other band, Stone Sour. Especially their songs "Through Glass," "Bother," "Imperfect," and "Miracles". Those are some of their softer, prettier songs, but they've a lot of awesome, harder songs as well.

"That is the best song I have ever written...today." Love you David. Please keep being yourself. The Drummer WAS Joey Jordison. He IS a MONSTER drummer. Sadly he is no longer in the band as of the past two albums and was replaced by Jay Weinberg. Song of Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen. Jay is very good and I love his drumming as well, but nobody compares to JJ for slipknot. His work is just timeless.

I am literally unable to sit still when listening to this song. It's so full of energy. Makes me want to run a freaking marathon or do parkour. Fun fact: The Duality video cost an estimated $500,000 and was shot at a Des Moines home (belonging to a fan I believe) that was to due to be renovated. The fans invited to feature in the video got a bit carried away and smashed the whole place to bits.

Corey Taylor was also found, by VVN Music, to possess the second-highest vocal range of any known singer in popular music with a range of 5 and a half octaves. He was beaten only by Mike Patton (6 octaves). My brother who is a fair bit older than me showed me this band when I was a kid, so I have grown up with this band. I'm 30 now and I still rock out to this. And From can to can't is a great fucking song, don't see many people mentioning it.

That's bs though. He used to have some really high notes when he was quite young. But he lost a lot of his range and in Slipknot/Stone Sour never sang anything above B4 as far as I know. In my opinion you should only list singers who make use of their range regularly or can still pull it off anytime.

Slipknot's drummer was Joey Jordison up to the album All Hope Is Gone, where he either left or got fired before the next one, so in this video the legend of the drummer is indeed Joey Jordison. The bassist is Paul Gray who was the heart of the band but unfortunately passed after All Hope Is Gone. Guitarists are Mick Thompson and Jim Root, both of which are awesome on the guitar. If you're impressed with the drummer on THIS SONG which is pretty tame drum-wise for a Slipknot song, then you should definitely react to more of their songs, I don't have any in particular in my mind but take any song from their first or second album and you'll be blown away. Also I would suggest to react to some early live versions. Cause Slipknot is really a band made for live reactions, and in their early years they were literally INSANE on stage.

I echo what others have said regarding you opening pandora's box lol. Slipknot is absolutely insane and Corey has one of the best voices in Metal period. The range from Slipknot to say, his other band Stone Sour - specifically Through Glass just shows how much of a goat he truly is. Just found your channel today and i love how you break down the songs / your overall vibe and energy, it makes reactions in general all the more enjoyable to watch ! I don't know if you take requests but if you do, definitely look into Unsainted, Solway Firth, Nero Forte, Critical Darling, Sulfur, The Devil in I, Snuff (Live with just Corey), Psychosocial, these are just some of their popular tracks however all of Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) or .5: The Gray Chapter and We Are Not Your Kind is amazing !

To me the best thing about Corey Taylor is his versatility. Songs like from can to can’t, slipknot’s snuff or stone sour’s bother are great examples of his more beautiful mellow side, while you can go and listen to slipknots first 2 albums to hear the opposite end of the spectrum, with the demonic brutality of his screams. On top of that, their first album had quite a few rapping sections and his more recent solo stuff has a more country/blues vibe. The man can do anything

Fun facts about this song and Slipknot. Joey Jordison's real first name is Nathan. The high pitched cymbal like beat in this song where you see Clown (Shawn Crahan) hit a garbage can with a bat; that's how the sound was made. It was a steel trash can hit with an aluminum bat. Before we knew they're names, the members of Slipknot were known by their masks, and were also numbered. Joey was number 1, because the drums are the number one thing in a band, the heart beat. The heart beat stops, nothing else works.

The Drummer is Joey Jordison (He was once the best drummer and was replaced due to an illness) and their new drummer is Jay Weinberg (the son of Max Weinberg who was playing drums for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band). The Guitar Players are Jim Root (Stone Sour) and Mick Thompson. The Melodic parts are usually Jim Root and the Thrash or heavier riffs are usually Mick. Sometimes they split the solos. Craig Jones on Keyboard, Sid Wilson as the DJ, Paul Gray was the bassist (but passed away) and was replaced by Alessandro Venturella, Chris Fehn and Shawn Crahan on percussion and backing vocals (Chris was replaced by Michael Pfaff cause of issues within the band. And last but not least Corey Taylor (Stone Sour) on vocals. These are and were the members of slipknot since they became popular in 1999-present. Normally they perform with 9 members. They have three percussionists, at this time it was Joey Jordison on drums, Chris Fehn and Shawn “Clown” Crahan on percussion. Since then they’ve had lineup changes so the current drummer is Jay Weinberg, current percussionists are Clown and Tortilla Man

FYI the guy who was hitting the keg with the bat (an instrument in this band) is Shawn Crahan aka Clown and he writes a good deal of the music for the band.

If you love Corey's voice, you should check out his other band Stone Sour. Their songs tend to be more rock oriented and melodic, most of the time anyway. Suggested songs: 'Inhale', '30/30-150', 'Through Glass', 'Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero', and 'Tired'.

The song you're talking about is From Can to Can't with Dave Grohl. Another good Corey Taylor song to check out is Jesus Wasn't There with Apocalyptica

Dear Man, thank so much that u make these content. I've started watching your channel from bmth reviews (my fav band) and ,my dude - I very appreciate the way you talk about music. I'm musician and videomaker and each work that I listen to I usually try to decompose the way how it made, try to understand all the pieces that an artist have done. And you make show me lots of new points about how music makes. Also, as a Ukrainian I like your talking. I'm feeling that I'm with my great friend fully get into music and the most important for me thing - I really growing up my English by listening to u. I understand almost each word you speak, and if it's not, then I fully understand the context you talking about. I'm very glad for getting to your channel and wish you the best. Maybe one time I can get your review on my own music, that will be damm awesome Also if u wanna and don't mind I can make you some advises about color grading your videos. I think I can make for u a bit improvement that you can use by yourself with your next videos One more time : thank you a lot, you and your team makes great thing for music lovers

The Sound City track you're thinking of is "From Can to Can't" and I agree Corey is phenomenal on that. Great song. Edit: Oh, you found it later haha. Nice.

I’m not sure if you find out later because I haven’t watched the full video yet but the drummers name is Joey Jordinson. He has a side project from I think 2010 maybe and it’s called scar the martyr. You have to check it out that entire album is amazing!
