Corey Taylor was also found, by VVN Music, to possess the second-highest vocal range of any known singer in popular music with a range of 5 and a half octaves. He was beaten only by Mike Patton (6 octaves). My brother who is a fair bit older than me showed me this band when I was a kid, so I have grown up with this band. I'm 30 now and I still rock out to this. And From can to can't is a great fucking song, don't see many people mentioning it.

That's bs though. He used to have some really high notes when he was quite young. But he lost a lot of his range and in Slipknot/Stone Sour never sang anything above B4 as far as I know. If you're impressed with the drummer on THIS SONG which is pretty tame drum-wise for a Slipknot song, then you should definitely react to more of their songs, I don't have any in particular in my mind but take any song from their first or second album and you'll be blown away. Also I would suggest to react to some early live versions. Cause Slipknot is really a band made for live reactions, and in their early years they were literally INSANE on stage.

I echo what others have said regarding you opening pandora's box lol. Slipknot is absolutely insane and Corey has one of the best voices in Metal period. The range from Slipknot to say, his other band Stone Sour - specifically Through Glass just shows how much of a goat he truly is. Just found your channel today and i love how you break down the songs / your overall vibe and energy, it makes reactions in general all the more enjoyable to watch ! I don't know if you take requests but if you do, definitely look into Unsainted, Solway Firth, Nero Forte, Critical Darling, Sulfur, The Devil in I, Snuff (Live with just Corey), Psychosocial, these are just some of their popular tracks however all of Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) or .5: The Gray Chapter and We Are Not Your Kind is amazing !

To me the best thing about Corey Taylor is his versatility. Songs like from can to can’t, slipknot’s snuff or stone sour’s bother are great examples of his more beautiful mellow side, while you can go and listen to slipknots first 2 albums to hear the opposite end of the spectrum, with the demonic brutality of his screams. On top of that, their first album had quite a few rapping sections and his more recent solo stuff has a more country/blues vibe. The man can do anything

Fun facts about this song and Slipknot. Joey Jordison's real first name is Nathan. The high pitched cymbal like beat in this song where you see Clown (Shawn Crahan) hit a garbage can with a bat; that's how the sound was made. It was a steel trash can hit with an aluminum bat. Before we knew they're names, the members of Slipknot were known by their masks, and were also numbered. Joey was number 1, because the drums are the number one thing in a band, the heart beat. The heart beat stops, nothing else works.
