Most of their songs are in C minor for the same reason a lot of metal of the time is in C minor - their guitars are tuned to Drop C. A lot of Slipknot from that time would be B (harmonic) minor because they tuned to Drop B most of the time. I think the entire Toxicity album was Drop C and used similar chords in various combinations (I, III, IV, and VI especially).

Serj's and Daron's vocal harmonies are mezmerizing. You can hear them in almost all songs in their last 3 album. And also i dont think you can just stop with 5 songs, if you could please dont stop at 5. You wouldnt be dissappointed if you give them a listen:)

I'll tell you what. If you like some band you can easily breach your 5 songs rule and react to more.. ))) It's your 4th video by SOAD so far, but you still MUST react to B.Y.O.B. and Question! These are songs from their late albums, so the music itself becomes more complex and composing skills as well, and video also with very deep meaning...for both songs...

My only critique....Id love to hear more of YOU taking the song and doing your own thing with it after the song is over. I think it really adds to both the video, and the song, to hear and learn from someone with your musical skills more about what it is were hearing! Cheers brother! Keep it up. Serj and Daron are a vocal duo that is like Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains and Dave Gahan and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode; you always know that's who is singing and their voices meld perfectly. I love SOAD and Serj is one of my favorite vocalists of all time! Also, they are Armenian so that's why they have a very Middle Eastern flavor.

Toxicity was probably THE most memorable and iconic album to ever cross my path as a child. I had heard a few songs by them from their first album, but when this came out I had enough money as a kid to buy it and I rocked this album every day. I loved many albums growing up but this one just always holds a special place in my heart.

One of my favorite things about Sytem is the harmony between Serj and Daron (pronounced like dare-in lol). Daron himself is a great singer and when him and Serj sing together its beautiful because of how well their voices compliment eachother. On the first three albums its not a lot of that but the last two albums there is and its amazing. Some of their stuff is simple yet memorable which is what Daron likes to do as a song writer using the drop c tuning for the first 3 albums and drop c sharp for the last 2. Loved the reaction cant wait to see you hear B.Y.O.B. If you happen to be awesome and bless us with a 6th video I'd STRONGLY reccomend either Dreaming or Soldier Side by them and you wont be dissapointed :))

As I was watching your reaction, this being my favorite SOAD song, something clicked in my brain... Jungian psychological theory interprets a waterfall as the bridge between the conscious and unconscious mind. That seems to fit right with this baseline (unconscious) and the vocals (conscious). Speaking of Jung, would you be willing to do a 5By series on BTS? Their being the best-selling act in the world, it's worth a look! If you do consider it, please don't include songs they didn't write or produce themselves (recent radio hits). I would suggest: 1. Tomorrow - popular early b side 2. House of Cards - vocal line members only 3. UGH - rap line members only 4. ON - kinetic manifesto version that combines several genres 5. Black Swan - widely considered to be one of their best compositions
