I've made some good stuff in logic applying my garage band experience, but wow.... I just learned so many keyboard shortcuts, and things like command L to divide up loops and command R to repeat. All this time, I've been working overtime copying and pasting. These little things all add up to a smoother workflow. Thanks you so much for your time and effort.

I'm just finally making the move from logic 9 to 10. One of the reasons is that I've been watching your videos while I was making my decision to either go with Logic, or switch DAWs. I'm half way through a couple of large projects, and decided that switching to Logic X would be the easiest route for now. I like the way you teach. Simple. Straight forward. You show people options and also explain why you do things a certain way. Well done.

Very impressive tutorial. I just bought a MacBook Pro and haven't touched LPX for a year or so. This is a great refresher and is a really simple, yet comprehensive, breakdown of the layout and tools for somebody starting out.

First, I have no association with the producer of these tutorials, so this is an unbiased opinion. Next, by far this is a phenomenal guide on how to learn and use Logic Pro X. I've pulled out my hair on many occasions and somehow these tutorials have always saved my butt. Brilliant work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It makes our life using LPX so much better. I still can't believe how much horsepower is built into this software. You could write volumes and volumes on this tool and still never cover it completely because once your toss in Plug-ins, the combinations of what you can do are truly limitless. I'm very glad that when I started on GarageBand I quickly decided to take the plunge into Logic Pro because I would "definitely" not recommend people try to master of multiple DAWS when any one of these DAWs can consume as much time as you can afford to invest. You can definitely tell that Logic Pro has fully adopted the APPLE design philosophy of simplifying the user experience. They have thought out the User Interface based on Usability first and foremost. I've dabbled in ProTools and Reaper, both great DAWs, but I've found that splitting my attention over more than one DAW was only detracting from actually "mastering" one tool rather than just being "good" on several DAWs. I am still far from being a master on LPX, but this suite of tutorials has proven a lifesaver. Thanks again for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. I appreciate more than I can say.

Wow! Just, Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to do your videos. I've just received my new iMac with Logic Pro X. When I opened the program, I quickly shut it down because I no idea where to start. I tried to watch a couple of other videos but they all tried to explain the whole process from start to finish in less that 12 minutes. Too fast to follow along. I like how you broke it down to Part 1, Part 2,,,, etc. I've learned so much already and have you to thank!

I'm super stoked for this new series. I'm still going through your other Logic Pro X video tutorial series. They are so helpful! I'm a beginner in the recording arena. I've used Garageband to record a few covers and now I'm using LPX for a couple others. I've been a musician for over 25 years and with the knowledge you provide, I'm gaining the confidence to try my hand at writing. It's so nice to be able to lay down some ideas and see where they take me. I very much enjoyed the video and thank YOU for making it available to watch! :-)

Btw, for those who count the bars and don't want to screw the whole project moving all your regions one bar after the first bar, you can actually extent the beginning of the song toward minus values(to the left) to have something like a pre count bar or a anacrusis bar. You can achieve this by going to the number 1 (the first measure) in the cycle bar and when the pointer changes, drag the dotted line to the left. I just saw it in another tutorial because I needed it so hard.

After searching around for a beginners logic X class I have to say that regardless that I have 10.4.4 this was still relevant and was so thorough that I got a notebook and took off by opening up Logic and following along by clicking back and forth and pausing the video and writing notes while following the steps in Logic Pro and I am now looking for your part two in the 10.3 series because the video that comes up is part two in 10.2. I'm sure I'll find it though just gonna search around your page. Thanks so much man I would definitely pay for this thorough course but I'm happier that it's by donation which you will be def seeing from me! Best, Steve.

Man thank you so much for replying and for seriously being such an awesome thorough detailed teacher. Is it correct to assume I should continue from here and once I finish with 101 anything that has been updated will be brought up in 201? I'm about to start Part 2 "Recording w/Mic". I literally have 4.5 handwritten pages just from pausing this video and following word for word ( it helps me bang the info into my head by writing it & doing it along with the video.
