What's with this term "Subtractive Synthesis" reference you just basically described the basic principles of how most Synth's work? Your explanation of the basic principles of Synth's was good. But it seems like you are trying to coin a new phrase to capture an audience. If I am wrong please explain your new definition of "Subtractive Synthesis" I have worked with many Synth's for a number of years and I have never heard of "Subtractive Synthesis". So what's the difference between "Subtractive Synthesis" & General understanding of how Synth's work? Thx ElectricEddie

Excellent video. I didn't learn anything, I play with synths since more than 40 years, but the way you explain the raw principles is realy good. Thank you very much, I would love to have internet 40 years ago 🙂 (I'm not sure younger generations have an idea about how lucky they are)

Great tutorial! You’re an awesome teacher. One thing though - I think tone is also at the oscillator stage. Harmonics are what define the tone of a sound.
