Out of all the video game music reaction video's ive seen, only three channels has ever managed to actually give information about things that occur in the song. You telling us what instruments are playing, saying terms, tempos, what the composer has in their songs like what a choir /instrument is doing is super insightful. Thank you, subbed and I hope for more!

There is a wonderful recording (I hope it's still up at least) of her performing it, and the absolute sigh of emotion at the end is just heart wrenching. Yeah… the lyrics for the English version of Weight of the World are downright uplifting compared to the Japanese. “And so as we are right now; Even though my screams mean nothing; This is the song of a broken world; And so as we are right now; Even though this dream is meaningless; I still want a future with you; Your lovely smile from that day… disappears.” (My translation might be a little rough… I’m still studying! I’m also trying to localize a little while keeping the literal translation mostly intact!) Hits a lot different than “So we’re gonna shout it loud; Even if our words seem meaningless; It’s like I’m carrying the weight of the world; I wish that someway somehow; That I could save every one of us; But the truth is that I’m only one girl; Maybe if I keep believing my dreams will come to life… Come to life.”

The reason for the difference in lyrics is when you watch the lyrics the english version is from the perspective of 2B meanwhile the lyrics of the japanese version is from the perspective of 9S, hence why the english one play at the end Run A (2B's run) and Japanese at the end of run B (9S's run) and why the lyrics are different as they are in fact 2 different songs

when you encounter Mourning for the first time after more than 20h into the game near the end (walking that long pathway)...that hit me more than any other soundtrack ever. As far as I remember the song only plays once in the main story and apart from that only at the end of 2 or 3 side questlines, and it hits hard everytime...but me completing the story while skipping most of the side quest the first time led to me having this moment that I will never forget.

I have to say, my favorite part of Dark Colossus (Kaiju) has to be immediately after the intense buildup - it really sounds like you were fighting upward through stormy clouds, being battered all around, and then suddenly you break through the clouds to soar before falling back in. I love it so much! (Also fitting, considering what the fight is like)

The japanese version comes right at the end of the story, with the story itself being really depressing. It's the only piece in a human language, as the rest of the soundtrack is composed with the language made for NieR and it made me cry like nothing else. Both the game and the soundtrack are a masterpiece.

But close second has to go to Dark Colossus (Kaiju). The original Gestalt version of the song is great, and Replicant 1.22's version is still pretty good But Automata took the song and gave it one of the most badass and menacing organ parts I've ever heard, plus the whole song just punches so much harder in the Automata version. That percussion is phenomenal

for the weight of the world (JP version), imagine while the music is playing, the character, a girl, is crying while stabbing a boy over and over again... then they "reincarnate", then repeat the cycle over and over again. Until the girl couldn't take it anymore and want to commit suicide. But the boy stopped her and committed suicide himself, then told the girl to not hesitate to kill him next time, because that is the only way for them to be reunited again. and so the girl made the promise, not because she wants him dead, but so they could meet again. and she never smiled again ever since... while keeping her bloody oath, in this broken world. --- Memory Thorn --- NieR Automata Lore.

"Voice of no radish" made me spontaneously break out in laughter when it really hit me how remorseful the song is. sounds like one of those deranged messages that would trend in eldin ring if it were possible. "still no dog..." "try finger but hole" "jumping requited ahead" "why is it always hole" "Voice of no radish ahead"

The more I listen to the soundtrack, the more I am convinced that Wretched Weaponry is the highlight. The singing hits another level of emotion and the orchestration brings the action that is so much connecting to the actual scenery in the game.

The "y" in Xylophon is like the German Umlaut "ü." The same as in the name "Ymir." A "y" before a consonant is that kind of vowel, not a version of "i" or "ai." Think "uh" or "oo" but skewed to the side in surprise. Explaining pronunciation through English is nigh impossible as the language has no pronunciation rules. Check out the poem "The Chaos" if you don't believe me.

Please do Nier Replicant (remake of the original Nier). Love both games but the soundtrack for Nier Replicant just slightly wins out. Also, please do Xenoblade Chronicles (1 and 2!)

I would absolutely love it if you reacted to the soundtracks for Unravel and Unravel 2. They might not be the most popular games ever but their soundtracks are beautiful and lots of fun, filled with immersive ambience tracks that slowly develop and add more elements as well as some tracks that are kind of like... folk Swedish music? I adore these OSTs so much and would love to hear your thoughts on them.

Hey, you should listen to the Valve game OSTs sometime. Valve's an icon in the gaming industry, plus they've got plenty of music worth checking out, so it would probably attract many viewers. My personal recommendation would be Portal 2, but I do hope you could listen to all of them one day.

Thank you for reacting to this, Nier has a phenomenal soundtrack. I’d like to suggest you listen to the Subnautica: Below Zero soundtrack, even if its in your own time, its about 2 hours of incredible atmospheric music.

My honest review of Nier Automata… Story: 10/10 Philosophy: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Designs(Map included): 8.5/10 Gameplay: 7.5/10 Overall I would give it a 9/10. Beautiful game, and it’s definitely one of the top 5 games in my opinion. I would recommend it to people who prefer story over gameplay.

Yeah, Platinum Games coming in to help out with the Gameplay made a marked difference to Gestalt and allowed the series to finally get the recognition it deserves. But it wasn't Team A from Platinum Games, so the Gameplay was still a bit stale.

31:38 I swear all I hear is "Jesus for us, give us vegan! Bestie amen. Shaggin ease." Also I feel like at 34:05, that's as close to an orchestral "drop" as you're ever gonna get. Mad build up vibes throughout!

*Spoiler* About Mourning. That was the song played in a side quest about an android designed to execute her peers when they turn traitor. I legit got creeped out when the song hit after the npc revealed her identity, while you clearly see how broken her mind and heart is. It was also the song played I believe after A2 ended 9S' life and you are walking in a maze-like world. Quite fitting, especially near the end when you are running a seemingly endless stair.
