I personally like the 24 3/4 scale length better. It’s strings are slinkier, more boom, and easier to play!

Haven't played a guitar yet that sounds better than my dads 1962 Gibson Dove.

Sounds very nice. I don't like the square shoulders of the Dove or the Hummingbird. This is a good sounding guitar though...

Nice guitar , does the first blues tune have a name ? or has he just made it up.
@Addam197811 жыл бұрын
I've come to the conclusion that you can play those tunes pretty darn good. If you'd like you can try and learn a new one, we won't mind!!!

The only reason you ask for it is because you´re not a prospective buyer for the instruments, right? Otherwise, how would you be able to compare?
@JesseDylanMusic11 жыл бұрын
They do the same tunes so that comparisons can be made between videos. I think he has recently snuck another one in at the beginning, though.

I may not be a buyer for that specific acoustic but, how would you know what I have and do not have in my collection already? Evidently I'm a buyer/player of high end guitars or I wouldn't give a damn! If you would take the time and re-read my comment I "jokingly" asked for him to play a different song/ chord progression. I've also noticed you've had something semi-smartassed to say to most every comment on here. If you sir are in anyway associated with the acoustic letter, let me know, by all means I can go back to shopping at a Guitar Center...

Is it just me, or is there an odd thumpy sound coming out of the low strings?
@landondutson493611 жыл бұрын
Must be just you. Sounds fantastic to me!
@JesseDylanMusic11 жыл бұрын
When he's doing the fingerpicking stuff, he mutes the low strings so it's thumpy on purpose. :) The guitar itself sounds a bit muffled to me in general, though.

Samuel Goh Sometimes they have the gain on their mic up a little high and it overloads a bit (or whatever the word is). Clips, that's the word. Maybe it is the sound of clipping.

$4450 for that guitar
@luizfcoimbra8211 жыл бұрын
Really? I thought they would (in all fairness) charge a bit more for it...
@JesseDylanMusic11 жыл бұрын
Luiz Fernando Coimbra Yep, expensive wood on that.

Gibson lo

When all he could say about this guitar after saying "This one's different" or whatever was nothing but cosmetic. All I had to hear was, "Standard sitka spruce top". To know its no different than any other Gibson. Gibson doesn't make good sounding guitars. They make pretty guitars.

Not worth the price tag!!! Give Martin hd 28 a try and sound will blow you away

Horses for courses. Give a 70´s Dove a try and you´ll see how special this guitar is. It is not meant to be "better" than anything, just to be an insanely great Gibson Dove guitar.
@JesseDylanMusic11 жыл бұрын
Luiz Fernando Coimbra The '70s ones are done in maple, though, not BRW :)
@luizfcoimbra8211 жыл бұрын
I played one made in walnut at Matt Umanov Guitars in NYC last year. Not sure if it was a 70´s model... Most likely a 68 if memory serves me wall. Anyway, this box Tony is playing sounds a lot like the vintage Doves I had the pleasure of playing.

Gibsons are garbage. Sorry. Get a Martin, Taylor, or some handmade or homebuilt guitars. Gibson is nothing more than a name. Not worth 5 grand. Get a Taylor 800 series. Promise they're better.
