It's often difficult to find out who TNS's guest is. This guest is Alison Phillips. 🤔

Trust. The whole of this discussion shows why people shouldn’t trust the media.

Great leaders and influencers throughout history have often tended to control the dominant communication system of their time. We’ve had religious leaders with verbal communication and influential philosophers with pamphlets and books. The latter morphed into newspaper owners and, surely, now we have electronic communications? Musk is clearly ahead of that game and my guess is that the Murdoch family will simply fade out unless they adopt modern methods. Bye bye our beloved newspapers and even the dominant trusted broadcasters like the BBC or CNN and in will come those awful influencers and their podcasts. I think even Fox News and their right wing like here in UK will go by the wayside. As the Americans have said so simply “that’s progress”.

A concern as t'internet is unregulated and personal devices are a fantastic tool for getting into an individual's head.

The GQP helped create Frankenstein's monster and now Trump wants ultimate power.

Wanting to shape history is what all men desire. It's all dependent on how much 'power' they have. Whether it's legacy building in the workplace or sitting at the head of the table at family dinner. The danger is that these media barons have unchecked influence over so many people. And it's this stating their opinion as fact or the only opinion which causes the distrust in media.

Do you think he was also behind the big wins on Polymarket or did they just share the same data?

Within what? His espoused political views and practical actions seem to align quite neatly with most of those in the Trump camp and Project 2025

Tiktok is useful in that it can often provide a very good video TL;DR in the age of information overload. Please talk more about the potential of the KZbin comments section . Why does a great interview like this only garner a dozen comments, while a presenter like Peter Zeihan gets nearly 10,000 comments for a three minute TL;DR?
