Thanks for posting this . I am amongst a favoured few who have had the opportunity to spin this fibre. Several years ago I was given some sheep’s fleece as a swap for spinning up some of the musk ox fleece . My neighbours at the time used to go to the place where they round up reindeer by helicopter (he being a pilot ) they also had the opportunity to pick musk ox fibre from the fences and brought some home to nz with them at seasons end . It was amazing , just about spun itself . Cheers Pat nz

I appreciate you sharing your video, I am enthralled! To say the least, I never saw anyone do the fiber separation (carding) with those two tools, I really feel humbled to learn about processes that date back to more than a thousand years or who knows how long, I was searching through KZbin looking for something like wool, that keeps you warm when wet, and qiviut came up , Boy what an eye opener for me . I am kinda confused by the nonprofit thing, and 3.00$ a gram, but I am going to try and get up there and see these places. Thanks again.

from Gerry- You've had quite the adventure. Is the softness anything like angora? I've never felt qiviut. God bless.

That soft, but different. Maybe that's just because I knew where it came from. Thanks for checking it out. ~Shiree

so did you find in wearing it, that you prefer the feel over other soft fibers (cashmere, angora, etc)?

It's wonderful, warm, and soft. Each garment, from each fiber has it's special use. Love it all.
