Thank you so much for your observations and for the video clip of the Indian man on an H 1B visa. This should go viral. You’ve made a real contribution to understanding the current debate.😊

Work visas give all power to the employers and that is what causes the attraction.

Oh, I forgot to mention. There is a famous Indian company called Infosys. It’s the biggest client for many American IT projects being offshored. Anyways, its founder recently said Indians need to work 70 hours a week. That tells you all you need to know.

I'm a senior control systems engineer with some of my staff in India . We kinda work internationaly per project with a lot of countries. Anyway, I have seen that indians work a lot, having a time difference, they don't mind working odd hours to accommodate our usa schedule, and if the work isnt done, they don't mind driving back home and keep working from there till like midnight or 1 am. I think that kind come with remote work, sadly, i also put those 11PM extra work hours, from time to time, to get the job done, but I do feel indians do it on a more consistent basis. But i do want to add on the work life balance, that they find the time to do some cultural dances at work, invite their kids and spouse for some of family day at work, do chess, tennis, biking or whatever competitions for work, they trade drawings or have side talents and i guess clise friendship with co-workers, and they take off to celebrate their own holidays like Diwali or other stuff. Indians just have a different culture.

Yes, that’s true but if you want your luxury life and get paid well, then go work for the government.
