Good video. Didn't know about the difference in shell but knew about the barbs. Would catch Musk turtles once in awhile in Oklahoma. Not near as common as sliders and snapping turtles though.

Hello, Im on Craigslist and found a dehydrated snake who is stuck in shed. It appears that the person who is trying to Rehome that snake won’t change his ways. (I told him the proper care) If I got the snake and he did not get better Would you be able to take him? I’m not sure what that looks like but if you have any suggestions that would be appreciated. I think they said he is about a year old.

The slidy things on your homemade wooden cage are heat sinks. The increased surface area allow it to transfer heat faster. I am referring to your question in "Epic Homemade Wooden Cage"

Mud turtles are mostly Southeastern, but its possible that musk turtle range extends that far north.
