Could you get yourself a 6 inch length of 2 inch pipe and weld a flat bar across one end? Use it to push those rods down and save your hands mate. Hope this helps. If not then ignore it lol.

Trapper J or anyone reading this need a direction Duke #4 coil spring trap i have on that I found in a attic and added it to some victors #2 double spring traps not going to lie have not been used since around 1984 time frame well i decided to wage war on the coyotes around where i live the duke #4 trap besides being rusty looks like it has never been used it is very hard to set and when you get it set will not go off if anyone knows what is up with that and has a quick fix to it can you point me in the direction whenever you can I/m in no hurry many thanks i enjoy your information that is put out.
