Brian- amazing fish! That is a great start to that trip to Eagle. Thank you for the effort to share with us. To be honest I’m more impressed with the strike/bump you received then followed it on side imaging, identified it at the boat , figure 8, then a strike. Even though you didn’t get hooks in the second one you are taking advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Great effort! Keep up your hard work.

Both fish were clean, no marks, and very pretty. That pike fooled me due to its girth. Glad to hear your August trip was good.

@thelonesomefisherman7425 They were both solid fish! I love getting pike that are built more like muskies 😁

@AnglingAnarchy yeah me too, with pike. Too bad they're so over harvested that they don't get a chance to grow large, like muskie, in most places.

Great video as usual! What do you have the lures hanging from in the bow of the boat? manufacturer?
@AnglingAnarchy Жыл бұрын
@benjenkins9239 Those are just pieces of 1" angle aluminum that I bought at Farm and Fleet and drilled holes into for the hooks, and installed them onto the side of the gunnel.

Why do you do eagle lake vs lake of the woods?
@AnglingAnarchy Жыл бұрын
@kevencornett939 There are a few reasons I suppose. One is that I feel like your shot at a truly huge fish is better on Eagle than LOTW. The build on Eagle fish is typically a little heftier than LOTW fish. I'm also fairly comfortable with the lake, but I also expand my range a little with each trip and I'm always finding new spots.
