I like fishing topwater for pike and muskies, even though I believe it results in more "strikes" where the fish misses the lure.

Should I just put 80lb braid on my reel and remove 40lb braid on okuma komodo ss kds-364lx
@AnglingAnarchy3 жыл бұрын
Milo mr I would definitely go with the 80 lb braid.
@user-by6yc8yl7v3 жыл бұрын
If you plan to throw big musky lures you need a size 400 (or bigger) reel and 80lb braid at the least. You dont backlash often while throwing big heavy baits as hard as you can but if/when you do you will snap off/lose your bait if you're using anything under 80lb.

How aboot that eh! Lol I used to get comments on how many times I would say “eh” in a video. I actually felt like I had more in common when I lived in NW Ontario with people from the U P, northern Wisco and northern Minn than southern Ontario peeps.

use bigger baits, especially surface baits. Smaller baits are good in the spring but move up in size for the fall. Consider Lake of the Woods for your next trip. There are a ton of bays to fish which will be isolated from the wind.

14" wizard shads, 16oz medusa's, Phantom soft tail gliders (the big ones) Lebowski spinnerbaits are what work for me in the fall.
