Dude! I love the Q&A format to drill down further on some topics & the continued use of the white board! I think you and Joe might have covered the two person setting the drag process in a JBO video on the boat from years past. I believe you relied on using the bend of the rod as well versus pulling on the line straight out from the real at the end of the rod. It might be worth doing a video demo with a Rod & reel with a little assistance from Stephanie. If you were alone in the boat, could you not do the same thing by hooking your leader onto something to create resistance while setting your drag? Thanks for the side imaging Cisco bait ball diagram. I would still love or see a screen shot if you come across that saved image sometime. Your math skills, by the way, are second to none 😁. One last thing, you might want to have a few props close at hand, i.e. lures, rods, reels, etc... to supplement the white board diagrams in future vlogs. As always, I look forward to your next knowledge share on the wonderful world of musky fishing!

Great video! I’ve been getting better trolling and have caught 10 fish in the past week trolling here in Indiana. Most on jointed depth raiders by the way. My 9 year old daughter even got her PB Monday at 43” while out trolling with me. (E-learning day = catching muskies with Dad) My question is once you hook a fish trolling to you slow down and cut the motor right away and risk taking tension from keeping the fish pinned or should I just slow down and reel in the fish and cut the motor before netting? Most of the time I’m alone and troll 2 rods and things can get crazy when I hook a fish on a windy day. Should I ignore the other line or reel it in first?

Good video, chas. I'm down here in e. tx. and am curious, don't have the musky and northerns but would love to try your trolling techniques on bass, do you think they'd work ?... a few suggestions, thanks.

Jerry, these techniques will absolutely work on bass! Hunting Muskies is just like bass fishing on steroids!

@@MuskyMastery Thanks for replying. The lakes I'm faced with are all flatlanders, nothing but stumps, trees and weeds so I'm not sure the plug will work without staying snagged...maybe a spinnerbait ? What do you think ? Have you a video on trolling for big bass ?...would love to see it.

We've had problems with DR and SR taking on water lately. 3 total so far. Anyone else had this issue? Seems they may have a manufacturing glitch.

Email me and I’ll get you in touch with the right person who will replace them for you. I would be very happy to help! The other option is to drill a while in the leaking compartment, drain, seal with super glue gel. And usually good after this.

Why do people turn to trolling this time of year? I'm still out here casting.
@lastcastangling35984 жыл бұрын
I start trolling more when it gets cold out to take a break from casting and warm up my hands haha.
