I’m a non-religious white American millennial. Having done the bare minimum of deconstructing my country’s founding, I can see that what’s happening in Palestine, and what Israel is doing is the same as what the colonists did here. It’s disgusting, it was disgusting when our predecessors did it, and I won’t be silent about our government’s support of it in Palestine today. The US, or Turtle Island as the rightful inhabitants call it, would be so beautiful from sea to shining sea if European settlers had not imposed their rule here. Palestine will be so beautiful and peaceful from the river to the sea when Palestinians are finally free. The people of the entire world can see it clearly this time.

And please do not try to tell me that the British Mandate of Palestine between 1917 and 1948 was an arab state, nor that the Ottomans had anything to do with the Arabs, who actually fought against them in WWI. My history teacher in college told us so many things that didn’t align with the textbook she resign before she got kicked out. I did have self hate it took me a while to come to terms with my thoughts. She however told us don’t hate yourselves for things from the past but rather learn so you won’t go down in history as the monsters that the whole world sees us as. I have to agree. I find it strange there is this huge concern for Muslim brothers & sisters in Palestine, yet not a mention of the Muslims in China who have been ethnically cleansed. In fact they mention China at the beginning of this discussion, yet do not condemn China for the Uyghur Muslim genocide. China has killed, sterilised, ripped whole families apart, threw them into reeducation centres, yet crickets. I have for years called China out for this disgusting behaviour, but I admit I hardly see or hear the Uyghur Muslims plight being mentioned by their Muslim brothers & sisters. These Muslims have been forgotten about. I have always wondered why this is? Is it because they’re not Arabs? Why when they mentioning fighting for their Muslim brothers & sisters, is it only certain Muslims? I’m not even Muslim & I’ve seen Christians fight more for Uyghurs than other Muslims. Then there’s all the people killed like you say in Syria, Yemen & other countries. They mention the African slave trade, condemning the west, however failed to mention Muslims had been taking Africans for hundreds of years before & only stopped, or claimed to have stopped in the 90s! While African slavery was horrendous & evil, it was evil to ALL who participated. Not mentioning the arabs part or the fact, Arabs took many hundreds of millions, sterilising the men & were brutally torturing the Africans. It’s rich just mentioning the wests participation in this, and only gloss over their horrifying part. To call us colonial, and again only gloss over the Muslims participation in this, which was on mass is hypocritical too. It felt like I watched a discussion with a bunch of grown men claiming to be victims of everyone else, but glossed over their horrific past too. I know the west has done wrong. I know even people have used Christianity to do wrong, and can admit that. That’s how you learn & grow from the past. These guys don’t seem to be able to take accountability for their past actions. To say the Muslims have practiced only peace, love & helplessness, when this just isn’t true. I cannot even just believe they had an excuse for their colonial past, and was waiting the the magic word to be mentioned - racism. Islam took over and didn’t allow other religions to live there & practice their religion. They were seen as infidels, forced conversion or killed. Christians were seen as lesser people & had to pay a special tax. I will also say ask the Persian people in Iran who were forced into Islam & sharia law, how much they love this life, oh wait you can’t, they will be killed. Just like the poor 16yr old who was recently tortured & killed for not wanting to wear a hijab.

The Uyghurs in China have been ethnically cleansed, need the worlds voices more than ever, yet nothing from the Muslim community. I can only assume this is because they’re not Arab or because it’s not Jews who are harming them. Muslims murder other Muslims all the time. Yemen & Syria is a good example, and I wonder where the protests are for these victims of tyrants. Fact is these men are hypocrites and it’s sad they don’t stand for their Muslim brothers & sisters who do really need it. War is horrific, I’m ex military and have seen my fair share of death, but nothing compares to watching the video of the people killed on Oct 7th by Hamas. It’s savagery I’ve never seen before. I agree totally however Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya , Lebanon and countless other conflicts in middle east would seem to suggest that Muslims dont follow Islamic rules of war. Such a conversation to be heard is: are the Israelites OCCUPIERS of Israel or did they RETURN to the land given to them by the true God of Abraham (whom Allah of the Kaaba claims to be in QS 29:46) through the holy covenant of LAND which God had with Israel? Is this covenant still active TODAY? YES, the true God (the Almighty, Creator and the Most High) does have a holy and everlasting covenant with Israel (which is effective today) called the ABRAHAMIC COVENANT, which was passed on from Abraham to Isaac and finally to Jacob (Israel): "I will establish my covenant as an EVERLASTING COVENANT between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will GIVE as an EVERLASTING POSSESSION to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.” (Genesis 17:7‭-‬8) Some use such words as 'the Israelites "INVADED" Canaan' as if God's promise and decree to Israel is unjust? God GAVE the land to the Israelites. It is wickedness to go against God's covenant. The ABRAHAMIC COVENANT OF LAND is UNCONDITIONAL. It did not depend on both parties keeping commitments. It is God alone who tied himself to the covenant, not Israel, because it is God who PROMISED to give Israel LAND, descendants and blessings, and God keeps his promises and covenants. There are no terms for Israel to break which is why the covenant remains effective TODAY (with the exception that any Israelite who did not get circumcised would be cut off from the land). This covenant of land to Israel passed on from Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob is the reason why the true God revealed his covenant, special and eternal name to mankind when he tells Moses to speak to the Elders of Israel as follows: "the God of ABRAHAM, the God of ISAAC and the God of JACOB-has sent me to you.’ “This is my name FOREVER, the name you shall call me from GENERATION to GENERATION." (Exodus 3:15). God changed Jacob's name to Israel. Even though Ishmael did get BLESSINGS from God, however the COVENANT was passed on to Isaac and NOT Ishmael: "And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.” (Genesis‬ ‭17:20‭-‬21‬ ) Almost a thousand years later, King David recalled this covenant: "you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his COVENANT FOREVER, the promise he made, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with ABRAHAM, the oath he swore to ISAAC. He confirmed it to JACOB as a decree, to Israel as an EVERLASTING covenant: “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.” Psalms 105:6‭-‬11 What many Muslims do not know is that the formation of the state of Israel in 1948 is a stunning fulfilment of the prophecy of God in Ezekiel (38:8) [the prophecy about "future years" when "a land whose people were REGATHERED from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual wasteland"] This is present Israel which the Jews have returned to, almost 2000 years since their scattering after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman army led by the prince, Titus, in AD70. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south." (Zechariah 14:1‭-‬4‬) This prophecy above is from the true God of Abraham and not from the 7th century Allah of the Qur’an who clones himself as the God of Abraham and the prophets. The prophecy correctly prophesizes that the Israelites will be back in Israel at the end of the age. The return of the Israelites to Israel in 1948 is a stunning fulfillment of Ezekiel 38:8 [the prophecy about "future years" when "a land whose people were regathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual wasteland"] As the Muslim ummah realizes the importance of unity among the nations and raising Muhammad’s army in the coming war against Israel, the prophetic book of Psalms says of the nations who are against Israel: 'They have taken crafty counsel against Your people [Israel], and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a CONFEDERACY against You" (Psalms‬ ‭83:3‭-‬5‬). ‭ It is true that one of the dream events in Islamic eschatology is the invasion and defeat of Israel by Islamic nations (confederacy/Khilafah) led by Allah's MAHDI. The ummah needs to be extra serious in building up strength, for it is an animal environment where when Muslims rule there is justice, when others rule they think of self interest only. Science and technology must be emphasized and political system has to be improved or rebuild. Ulama needs to master basic knowledge of modern science, social sciences and humanities; experts have to master essential Islamic knowledge, philosophy and methodology. We should have more platforms of that sort where Muslim scholars can discuss about Islamic history to educate the Muslim Ummah and the non-Muslims likewise.
