I've been to that muslim town many times and I have to say what they got from the rendang place is definitely the vlogger's serving. Other customers will get the same amount of rice but only a quarter of the meat shown on video. You can even see the lady adjusting the serving size when she realized she's still on camera.

That glutinous rice dessert looks like clay, delicious and fun, haha! That plate of fried noodles looks delicious, the ingredients inside are rich, and with lemon juice, my mouth is watering! I am very happy to know the main ingredient of rendang for the first time, it looks delicious and cheap! There are many types of halal food in Philippines, and each item looks delicious, thank you for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

There used to be a place in Quiapo where they sell roasted chicken with different kinds of rice. This was way back in the early 2000s. I don't know if they're still there.

Maranao tribe in the Philippines is always the one making dodol and beef randang, this is one of my favourite as a maranao this food only prepared or cook and can eat it at special occasions like eid'fitr and eid'adha.. and i know we adopt this kind of cooking from Indonesia and Malaysia

There are a lot of halal local food in Ermita, Manila. It's because that area hosts a lot of work and travel agencies that cater to Middle Eastern hiring companies. Also it's nice to know that it is near Manila's top historic sites. Don't skip Manila! Hope you enjoy if ever you plan a trip to our capital.

There are also Indonesian food stalls in Greenhills shopping mall in San Juan, Metro Manila. I've been to Jakarta before and when I went to Greenhills, I saw this stall and ordered beef rendang. The owners are Filipino Moslems from Mindanao. I befriended and talked to them. Other outlets sell nasi goreng, chicken curry (I forgot the native term)...

Some info on why you are seeing some Malaysian resto/dish in the Muslim community here in the Philippines: The southernmost part of the country in the Mindanao area, specifically on the tip most islands like Tawi-tawi, are just boat ride away from Sabah, Malaysia. Sabah Malaysia is one of the disputed islands that we and Malaysia have eversince but not being explored much by the govt. Nevertheless, the trade of commodities and interaction and exchange of cultural heritage are common in that part of the country.
