I have to say, when debating against an atheist, Daniel always seems to have this vitriolic contempt towards his opponent. But against these Christians, he's really toned it down. I'm not by any means an expert on the Torah, but I know that a lot of the time it often is trying to stress the seriousness of various sins and issues. I'm not well versed on it all, but that is my general understanding. But also, the difference between the Torah apostacy law and the Islamic one, just based on surface readings, is very different. The Torah one involves secretly enticing someone away. Publically challenging, or even declaring doesn't seem to be in view at all. It sounds very covert. The Islamic law by contrast just requires you to say "I'm not convinced anymore" and that can place the sentence on your head. This contrasted with the way it is then implimented where Israel seems to wander off every 30 seconds and in Islam even questioning gets you the threat of it really puts a very specific spin on it.

Christian apologists will always struggle to tackle Islams violent texts when they themselves are compelled to defend the biblical old testament and the atrocities within it. Asides from genocides and enslavement carried out by Prophets Moses & Prophet Samuel, one of the most horrendous stories I remember from childhood was the persecution of Job. Christianity's biggest saving grace is the founder himself. Out of all the Prophet's & leaders in Abrahamic religions Jesus himself is the only one that can be truly seen a man of God. Unfortunately unless New Testament Christianity can detach itself from what came prior, these two contemptible humans and their supporters who defend killing apostates/ non Muslims and marriage to children will always be able to point to hypocrisy in Christian apologetics. I'm an Agnostic and don't care whether God exists or not or whether he manifests in plural or singular form. However if people insist on believing in higher powers and heavenly realms i believe Abrahamic traditions and their absolutist and undefendable doctrines may have to be done away with all together.
