Drinking alcohol when your cold is a bad idea it makes you feel warm because your blood vessels lossen making you feel warm but it actually just makes you colder
@ashleycook6025Күн бұрын
It's a VERY OLD last resort to prevent limb loss from hypothermia. But, yes, bad idea. During the final stages of hypothermia the blood vessels in the extremities contract to retain heat around vital organs, leading to an increased risk in the loss of those extremities even if they were properly protected from the frostbite before. This can also result in the warm sensation in the core that causes paradoxical undressing. Alcohol causes a dilation of these blood vessels, even after this stage has set in, putting off these risks. However, as you've stated, dilation of the blood vessels WILL cause the body to lose heat faster. So, even when it *was* used, it was in measured amounts by the people rescuing you to jumpstart your recovery and to make you easier to handle as they supplied you with more heat. No corrections. No argument. Just interesting fyi.

I am not a Muslim but recently I've read a very interesting online discussion regarding soy sauce. Some saw the alcohol produced during the fermentation process as acceptable and others not. Those who accepted viewed the alcohol as not intoxicating and as such acceptable. But there might be differences between different scholars and cultures. Please be kind and accept different views. I just wanted to share a possible interesting fact for discussion.

I was gonna say because... Bread is also alcohol fermented yeast is well you know the Same process as alcohol. So is levened bread also haram. This is why I believe it's more about drunkenness not the ingredient or chemical process
@audradonthaveone6708Күн бұрын
@@JesusChrist-sm4bmthey make hala sour dough bread; as long as it doesn't cause intoxication. So the use of vanilla with alcohol could be use, but it all depends on the person. So from an outsider perspective; better not to use then use it and have to ask for forgiveness.
@JesusChrist-sm4bmКүн бұрын
@@audradonthaveone6708 well that's where I'm just asking a why. Because again if Using it to cook is wrong Then Levened bread is also haram because it's the same thing as alcohol on a Chemical scale. Same with a lot of things like Heartburn medicine, pickles, yogurt, even Orange juice. It's all a breakdown of sugars by an orgasm to produce a byproduct. Unless it's Ethanol that's haram then You can't have any sugar because it'll end up breaking down into Ethanol in your digestive system

@@JesusChrist-sm4bmfrom what I know and understand of this topic is that for example when you eat a massive amount of bread that has this small amounts of alcohol in it do you/can you get intoxicated if yes then even a single bite of it is haram if no then it is permissible But if we talk about beer that has a small amount of alcohol in it that can make you intoxicated if you drink so much of it then no it isn't permissible. والله اعلم.

I Drink Non-alcoholic Beer
@megandrynan608020 сағат бұрын
I'm a Christian who doesn't drink. While I personally don't view small quantities of alcohol as being terribly wrong, I choose not to consume any because it leads to craving more, which isn't healthy. I've also seen people waste their money and ruin their health and lives because of alcohol, so it's unappealing to me. I also enjoy sobriety. I like being in control of myself and my actions.
@heatherbell238316 сағат бұрын
Just because someone has alcohol, it doesn't usually mean that they will crave more. I have a drink once a month when I go out with a friend. I have just one and drink water the rest of the time. Sometimes I want a 2nd, but I am able to stop at one. I do respect those who are sober for whatever reason.

Ok totally random thought, but that shoe perfume bottle is adorable. Reminds me of the many cute Avon perfume bottles I'd get for Easter as a girl (always the same scent though). 0% Alcohol beer, does have a very small amount of alcohol in it. Imitation vanilla is alcohol free I think, not 100% on that.

Do you over heat in the hijab
@malainakarpinski949922 сағат бұрын
No. I started covering my hair about a year ago, I don't style mine like a hijab but I do like having it be very drapey some of the time. It honestly has felt less hot than my hair showing, my natural hair is so dark it absorbs way more heat than my scarves do. And if you have the fabric draping it keeps the sun from being on your skin directly which also helps keep you cooler. All of that depends on the material though, cashmere and silk are HOT but something like cotton is nice in the heat

I think that would also depend on the individual and line of thought they have. Because some scholars say the vanilla extract with alcohol or soy sauce and other items with alcohol as an ingredient are fine, so long as the final product cannot get someone drunk, as the intoxicating effect is what's seen as haram.
@starxaurelia22 сағат бұрын
doesn't matter, alcohol is still haram even if it is a little amount.
@BriarRose-Dupont22 сағат бұрын
@starxaurelia again, that depends on the scholar that someone follows. There are very highly reveried and well-known scholars who say it is not haram because the end products do not result in anything that could lead to intoxication. Clearly, for this couple, they follow a more strict line of thought, which is perfectly valid for them.

Hey i have a question; is somebody who is not Muslim allowed to say the Muslim equivalent to “God bless” in Arabic? I worry it might come across as offensive but I’ve also been told Muslims aren’t allowed to say or accept stuff like “bless you” when people sneeze, so what’s the verdict on this one?
@starxaureliaКүн бұрын
Just like non-muslims can read the Quran, don't worry its not offensive and you can say it. Also us muslims usually use Yahamukallah when someone sneezes and the person who sneezed then says yahadikumullah, its basically giving the same meaning as bless you but mentioning Allah(God)
