Depends on where you are in the world - e.g. here in Germany the first and biggest Muslim immigrant population is Turkish hence to us (also for historical reasons as we had many wars with the Ottomans) the term "Turkish" has become synonymous with "Muslim" and is used as the broad term for all Muslim immigrants

I knew this would come up someday The Incredible Hulk #256(1980) where Banner wakes up in the holy land and befriends an Arab child(10 or 11 and Banner doesn't know if the kid is Arab or Jewish, he's just a kid)and that child gets killed in a suicide bomber attack, this enrages Banner(look up Banner's childhood history) who becomes Hulk and beats the living snot out of the terrorists. Then a Israeli Super Soldier, named Sabra attacks Hulk, assuming he is in league with the terrorists and worst the killer of the boy. The battle rages in town for a few minutes till Hulk leaps out of town, taking the body of the boy with him to mourn, but Sabra attacks again and what ensues is one Hulks most profound and lucid statements, About people fighting and dying ove land and over old two books and boy didn't get to read the books. Also, I've thought if this was written today it would be decried as "WOKE" at the least and at worst Pro-Israel, Pro Palestinian, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, Anti-Arab and Islamophobic list goes Ad infinitum. Also She's a mutant so you get that Anti-mutant S##t. Hulk says near the end he came looking for peace and "There is no peace here!!" and leaps away. in absolute total disgust. Also, what the critics forget and willfully ignore that there is a dead boy and all The Hulk cared about was his new found friend was dead and wanted mourn him. Team Worldbreaker Hulk Forever

Tbh captain America only represents the good part of America (not modern usa) and their citizens and what the USA would like to be. He has some universal good values that's why he's liked....not because of his USA connection.Obviously in real life the usa is riddled with problems and atrocities so we should be able to tell the difference. Iron man only was in the middle east in 1st movie because of what was going on politically and the so called war on terror (2009), by the way in the comics he was not actually captured in Afghanistan lol. Gal godot was a very horrible choice to play wonderwoman.

Of course not. I think you're misunderstanding why we are angry. Palestinian children are being killed, people can't even pray in their place of worship. It isn't a matter of Muslims VS Jews. It is a matter of humanity. We are humans, no matter our colour, religion, race etc, at the end of the day we are the same. This is why when Israeli soldiers kill innocent Palestinian people, we are sad at the injustice, not because they are Jews or Israeli, but because they are killing people. It's the same way I don't hate Russians but I hate Russian soldiers that are killing Ukrainians, religion does not matter here. So, the reason why we are angry is that Marvel has such a big influence in the world, if they portray Israelis as "superheroes" while there are certain israelis doing the exact opposite, it is hypocrisy. Think of it like this: how would a Ukrainian feel after leaving their country as refugees and then a big company like Marvel says that Russians are superheroes.

I know there has been a few instances of bad representation in early mcu BUT majority of the mcu (phase 1 to 3) was objectively better quality and they were basically about good vs evil, cool superpowers, interesting characters and worlds. Iron man 1 did have a few middle east scenes but I strongly believe it was done to represent current times (2009 when the war on terrorism was still happening) because iron man originally in the comics was made in the 60s and got captured by Vietnamese communist terrorist but in the 2009 movie they changed it. Captain America is supposed to represent the good parts of Classic America and is different from modern America because he comes from a more conservative 1940s America that was fighting nazis. Captain America is also a Christian to my knowledge. What's sad is nowadays they focus more on wokeness and include more wierd/bad representation rather than telling a good quality good hero vs bad villian story like they used to. Current society is affecting many things nowadays Millions of fans connected with these characters because we want to see heroes defeat villians and cool superpowers.

'Sabra' was named before the massacre but let's talk about the killings of Jews in Iraq in 1941, in Palestine in 1929, and in Europe 1939 to 1945. Palestine who are living in the United States I am sorry you can't visit your homeland I really know how it feels. my dad needed to leave Iraq his homeland and my mom's parents left Libia and I until today couldn't see where they grew up and where they lived. There is nothing wrong with an Israeli Jewish superhero. The character was created in 1980 when people were not nearly as aware of the world or had nearly the same access to information. They did flesh her out later on showing her hate is derived from the fact that her son was killed in a terrorist attack by Palestinian extremists... (let's not pretend they don't exist). While this is all an interesting premise for a character, it's not good for a superhero lead due to her violence and bigotry towards Arabs.

Sabra is an Israeli superhero that kills Palestinians. And Palestinians are portrayed as terrorist's and nothing more. (which is anti-semitic, by definition) Sabra's soul purpose is to eliminate every Palestinian. Whereas Ms. Marvel, the Muslim superhero, defends herself from ALL evil and has not once ever dealt with a single topic revolving around Israel. You're argument doesn't make sense, because if there was a Palestinian superhero that labeled Israelis (not jews, but people from that state) as terrorist, that still wouldn't flow nicely.
