If you gonna upgrade your tires get them a size bigger so instead 225 get a 235 same rim size of course but it's alot safer on the road specialy in bad weather. companies try to put the bare minimum they can get on. there

The best RAV4 upgrades will be adding sound deadening materials from Amazon and you will get QUIETER and comfortable ride. About seventy dollars after tax materials will cover 5 doors and trunk area strategically, 25% coverage will get the best results per dollars basis, after that the effective is much less per dollars basis. I already did trunk area on my 2021 RAV4 hybrid xle, especially rear wheel well. The ride is more quiet. I will apply to all 5 doors. You easily hear difference when you knock the door with and without sound deadening materials. RAV4 has very thin sheet metal, even the hood is flex on highway. Thin tin can will transmit more noise into cabin.

I’m stuck now, they said the xse models don’t have the climate control seats where it makes it cool. I don’t care for heating seats ya I live in wa state but my body temp runs hot the cold seats is what I want. It’s between the rav4, 4Runner, jeep trail hawk Cherokee I don’t know the jeep seems to be the go to because it can tow a lot and hit the out doors like a champ and offer limited stuff everything I need. But the hybrid that gas savings is sooo nice.

First I got was the factory bodyside molding to stop door panel dings and second is the Fomi waffle gel seat back cushions. One I would like to get is lighted window / door lock controls. They are hard to see in the dark.

Front plates are required in all but 19 states. WA is one of the 31 that require it. Also make sure that if you get front windows tinted, they allow 24% light transmittance in WA. Factory window tints should know this and are required to place a sticker on the window indicating compliance. Rear side and wing windows can be as dark as you want, and front windshield at the top 6".

Nicole, Super sleek and sexy RAV4 with all your changes. Nice job. Maybe adding an Orion Car Emergency kit for added safety. Walmart sells them for under $40. Also, a DC to AC inverter that plugs into the lighter. Ugh! Who uses a cigarette lighter anymore? The old ashtrays are gone too. My dashboard pockets (2) are non-functional as anything stored in them fly out when I punch the pedal at a light. Hybrids are great for fast acceleration. You know that too.

A little long, but many Toyota previous owners like myself, prefer to ask directly to a new Toyota Owner about this, is the word of mouth from the owners the best recommendation, not any kind of promotion, ad, or sales person opinion. Thanks for reading and for your informative videos from an Owner point of view. Many Toyota owners, like to keep their Toyotas for a long time, more than 15 years and 200,000 miles is something basic for many of us, I have my 2005 Corolla since new and now is more than 17 yeats old, I am even paying a loan for a full body and paint restore and it has more than 241,000 miles. The Hybrid system and the RAV4 advantages are something that attracts many previous Toyota owners, and Toyota warranty was there for you when needed for the fuel tank problem you described on your previous video. After more than 36,000 miles, as you said, do you see or want to keep your RAV4 Hybrid for many many years, and join the many Toyota owners who drive hundreds of thousands of miles ? Because of the too advanced and complex Hybrid System, many Toyota previous owners believe the Hybrids might not be the best choice because maintenance costs and repairs costs will greatly increase at some point, maybe at 200,000 miles, maybe before 200k, maybe after, so they prefer the non Hybrid version of a new Toyota just anticipating and avoiding the higher repair costs of the Hybrid System. But, that is not the whole story or picture: Back in the year 2004, the car salesman of my Corolla told us: " all Toyotas are going to be Hybrid " This started 18 years after, with the new 2021-2022 Toyota Sienna, only available as a Hybrid, I understand Toyota has to meet new fuel economy standards by law, and also, to reduce production costs, this is probably the Hybrid only start as we were told in 2004.I have to include the CVT Automatic Transmission: only a 2022 Honda Civic comes with a transmission fluid dipstick that allows to see the CVT fluid level, CVT's are prone to fluid consumption, which is not good, no matter Toyota improvements on their CVT'S, this transmissions earned a bad reputation due to other manufacturers bad policy, like the one called planned obsolesence, where a car manufacturer decides to design a vehicle with things that will prevent the owners to keep them for many years no matter how good the maintenance is: No matter your answer, when warranty is over every Toyota Owner learns he or she needs to find independent trusted mechanics, because you or anyone cant afford to pay for the CVT transmission fluid replacement, just to find out later it was not replaced no matter you paid for it, and find the CVT is damaged because of bad dealer practices, because no matter Toyota never sponsors planned obsolesence, there are dealers that do not like the Owners keeping their vehicles for so long, and actually might take advantage of the Toyota owners trust in the dealer? Unfortunately, no matter how good Toyota is, Toyota is located in Japan: all owners deal with authorized Toyota representarives, which are privately owned, we do not deal with Toyota, never. Other thing I forgot, is that new Toyotas, are using low friction piston rings to improve fuel economy, as well as new oils like the 0w 20 and the newer 0w 16, but there are reports of excessive oil consumption of this new oils, no matter this can be compensated by checking the oil level and adding oil frequently, but this is something many previous Toyota owners are not used to, I started adding synthetic oil to my Corolla after 150,000 miles and was because of an oil leak not because it was consuming oil. Do you notice or have to add oil more frequently, no matter Toyota official response is that is a normal charactheristic of the new Toyota engines? Thanks for readinng this far, no matter you have to take a long time to answer, or even if you decide to answer on a video with many questions you might have from many people, that is also fine, thanks for your time, Many Blessings

You seem to know a lot more about Toyotas than I do! I Plan to keep the vehicle at least 10 years/200k miles, maybe more. I've heard about the Prius battery lasting to around 300k, some even more. I used to own a celica with almost 300k (great vehicle as well) I have not experienced any oil leaking.

@@Nicole.Sisson not really, I learned through the years: You selected one of the best of the best, the RAV4 Hybrid XSE, your vehicle is so advanced you will have to learn to select the people who service it, do not miss the CVT Transmission fluid replacement, is better before 60k miles, there are lots of stories from Toyota and Lexus owners, you might see many here at KZbin, typing Scotty Kilmer. He doesn't work for any dealer, and even have videos showing how Lexus dealers do not replace the awd transaxle oil in the rear, no matter the owner paid 3 times to have it replaced. Your RAV4 Hybrid has AWD, you will find good mechanics, but is by word of mouth of the owners like you, do not trust the media, all pay to be presented as the best, but unfortumately that is not true. Thanks for your time and response, you selected one of the best, unfortumately, you will also have to select the best mechanics, and the best dealer, but for service: probably is not the one with more promotion, maybe not even the one most conveniently located . . . Scotty Kilmer will also suggest to buy your own scan tool, so you do not visit dealers with no idea when the check engine light comes on. My 2005 Corolla damaged a part that was $2.59, which made the automatic transmission shifter move freely in the console, inside the Corolla, but it was not that the transmission was damaged, no matter I was not able to select Reverse, so it was scary, at around 199 000 miles. Fortunately, one of the local Toyota dealers was very close to that Walmart Supercenter where I was, and I didn't panic, knowing the Corolla was driving foward on Drive as if there was nothing wrong, so no matter I was lucky to be in a position at Walmart not requiring Reverse gear, I also was lucky to find a friendly service advisor at that dealer, the Corolla was received wihout appointment and returned to me within an hour and a half with a $2.59 rubber bushing part for the transmission shifter, and the labor and taxes charge: but, all service advisors are not friendly, You might find one, who tries to " explain " your transmission requires a more expensive job by far, no matter not true. One of my barbers, a female like you, was caught in that scam years ago, instead of $2.59 plus tax and labor, she was told her 4RUNNER transmission was damaged, and was an independent mechanic, there are dishonest service advisors, who just care about their comission, Today cars, are like space ships on wheels, I forgot to add. The ABS Accumulator story, of my Father. R.I.P. 2008 Highlander Hybrid: no matter how many error or problem messages you see on a Toyota display, it still true it might just be that it requires brake fluid, but unfortumately. I took the Highlander Hybrid to the dealer without checking this basic requirement, and the Highlander was never repaired properly, instead, we felt preys of a dealer who just wanted to buy it back cheap, so we had to buy a new one. This is a well documented case.Good Luck

I purchased the Michelin CC2's and they have been great! I only have the stock ones to compare them to but the ride quality is so much better IMO.

Why auto manufacturers still put chrome on cars amazes me. For one it isn't chrome, it is silver painted plastic. For all the cool colors and durable polymers out there, let's have our cars look like they were made in 2024, not 1980. Let me summarize : She refers to the Toyota Parts center 200x and as a retired LEO dont do # 1. If the state issues two plates so they must be properly affixed to the front and rear exteriors. Please forward all tickets to her for subsequent payment or the local Toyota parts center . HAHAHA

Pull the trigger on those exhaust tips if you haven’t. Looks much better. Easy install. Although may not budge easy coming off seeing you live up north and that mileage. Shimmy them off after getting some WD40 in there. Lift the metal tab at the top inside with a screwdriver from behind.

You’re welcome. Mine were stubborn to get off but I just put gloves on and slowly they started to budge. I was careful not to be yanking on the tailpipe as it curves into the muffler. If you haven’t discovered EB Toyota Parts in MA check them out. At first I thought it wasn’t legit, but have ordered twice from them, lowest prices I’ve seen. Good luck!

Great video! I actually got everything suggested except for the cargo organizer and the chrome delete vinyl wrap… Curious though, has the vinyl lasted without any fading? I was told at the shop that it would fade after a couple of years under the sun. I live in Texas.

I read that an empty roof rack can worsen fuel efficiency. Have you tried taking off the roof rack to see if it increases your mpg?

Nicole. Im looking at Rav4’s. So, your videos have been very helpful. Thought I would mention something. You can click the open button for the sunroof and it will open. Not really necessary to hold it down the whole time it is opening. Again, terrific videos

Very nice upgrades! We did some similar ones like key fab covers, better all- weather floor mats, trunk organizer and we did cup holder and door inserts that have color outlines that match RAV color. Good job!

I ordered the protective film kit for my 22 rav4 hybrid at the dealership. They are going to install it for me as well as fixing the front bumper cover since there was a fitment issue from factory.

I already installed the mud guards and all weather mats. I'm definitely going to get the front windows tinted after seeing how it looks on yours
