Why auto manufacturers still put chrome on cars amazes me. For one it isn't chrome, it is silver painted plastic. For all the cool colors and durable polymers out there, let's have our cars look like they were made in 2024, not 1980. Very nice upgrades! We did some similar ones like key fab covers, better all- weather floor mats, trunk organizer and we did cup holder and door inserts that have color outlines that match RAV color. Good job!

@Stacy Walker I agree I am now waiting for the 2024 to see what it looks like. I've seen predictions but hard to know if those will come true. Sure would be great to see better gas mileage.

@@JSBowling2011 have you considered the hybrid? When the temperature is not too cold, I can get up to 50MPG on the 2022 RAV4 hybrid. Even on the highway I have been able to get over 50 miles per gallon. Obviously light foot and I don’t speed on it, or ever drive faster than the speed limit, but even when I have 5 people with me, I still get over 45mpg highway speeds. It leads me to believe (as well as other people’s testimonies) that RAV4 hybrids really do give you a better than advertised mpg. I have over 20,000 miles on my 22 RAV4 hybrid and I can count with my hands the amount of times that I had less than 40 mpg.

A few mods you should look into, That i did, Sequential turn signals on the mirrors, way brighter, Baja designs fog light kit, way brighter fog lights, Brake lights that replace rear reflectors. Requires wiring tho. LAsfit turn signals front and back, ten times brighter. Hella horns to replace the horrible stock horn. I also did a separate set of wheels with snow tires for winter, cause stock tires suck. I also did hood mounted lights i use as my high beams, LPadventure has the hood brackets for like 60 bucks.

I like what you've done. There are a couple of other cool upgrades available that I added to mine. Toyota offers a combination safe for the center console. It's OEM so it slides directly inside. You simply remove 2 screws from the bottom of the console and reinstall them through the base of the safe. The downside is that you lose the storage shelves that come standard. On the upside... it's good to have when you don't want to carry your valuables (or a small handgun) with you into a store, on a hike, etc. It can't be removed without opening it first and it's made of steel, so it would be very hard to break into. The second is a replacement trim for the rear view mirror. It has a built in camera. It's from a third party manufacturer but it fits perfectly. You slide the original trim off and slide the new trim on. The camera cable plugs directly into the spot where the mirror normally plugs into. Everything associated with the smart window still works perfectly. It has a storage capacity of up to 128 GB via microSD and connects to your phone via Bluetooth so you can download video directly if needed. Both the camera and App have a button for still photos as well.

Nicole, Super sleek and sexy RAV4 with all your changes. Nice job. Maybe adding an Orion Car Emergency kit for added safety. Walmart sells them for under $40. Also, a DC to AC inverter that plugs into the lighter. Ugh! Who uses a cigarette lighter anymore? The old ashtrays are gone too. My dashboard pockets (2) are non-functional as anything stored in them fly out when I punch the pedal at a light. Hybrids are great for fast acceleration. You know that too.

First I got was the factory bodyside molding to stop door panel dings and second is the Fomi waffle gel seat back cushions. One I would like to get is lighted window / door lock controls. They are hard to see in the dark.

Nicole. Im looking at Rav4’s. So, your videos have been very helpful. Thought I would mention something. You can click the open button for the sunroof and it will open. Not really necessary to hold it down the whole time it is opening. Again, terrific videos

If you gonna upgrade your tires get them a size bigger so instead 225 get a 235 same rim size of course but it's alot safer on the road specialy in bad weather. companies try to put the bare minimum they can get on. there

I have the same white but not the blacked out version. I almost bought the LE and im glad I asked if there was a XLE coming in. Much more options for a little more. It came with the roof racks. Probably will never need them. But I like the look. Only accessory purchased is the rear organizer. I haven't hit 1K miles yet.

My wife and I have a RAV4 that is very similar to yours. We have considered getting the roof racks, but I heard that if you have them, there is a chance of rocks flying up and ricocheting off the crossbar and hitting the panoramic sunroof, causing it to shatter. Have you had any experiences like this, if not, what are your thoughts about it?

I haven't experienced this and never heard a rock hit the sunroof. I do a lot of freeway driving with semis. If you want them you should get them! 👍

Mine has 4 holes in the front because an idiot at the dealer drilled two wrong holes, which I discovered months later when I took the holder out to apply some paint protection tape. Cali here so it's required.

Nice choice with the TRD! 👍 I paid $1,400 to have it installed- full hood, full fenders, full front bumper, door edges, door cups and rear luggage cover. I went to Midnight Tint in Kent, WA if you happen to be in this area. 😁

Hi, what tint percentage are your front windows ? And did you tint the back or just the front two ?

I'm not exactly sure, I just asked them to match them to the factory tint on the back two windows. 🙂

I have a panoramic sunroof, and also have the roof rack with cross bars. I wonder if they make a wind deflector that could be mounted in front of the roof opening to cut down on wind noise???? Might actually look kinda cool?

Pull the trigger on those exhaust tips if you haven’t. Looks much better. Easy install. Although may not budge easy coming off seeing you live up north and that mileage. Shimmy them off after getting some WD40 in there. Lift the metal tab at the top inside with a screwdriver from behind.

You’re welcome. Mine were stubborn to get off but I just put gloves on and slowly they started to budge. I was careful not to be yanking on the tailpipe as it curves into the muffler. If you haven’t discovered EB Toyota Parts in MA check them out. At first I thought it wasn’t legit, but have ordered twice from them, lowest prices I’ve seen. Good luck!

The chrome blackout tape, do you have a link to it? Does it match the rest of the car?

How much was the paint protection film ? I have some chips on the front and sides and I want to add this. Is it bad to do it over the chips that already happened? Who did u have do this for u or did u do it yourself )

I paid $1,400 to have it installed- full hood, full fenders, full front bumper, door edges, door cups and rear luggage cover. I went to Midnight Tint in Kent, WA. Maybe touch up the chips before applying the PPF? I think you could do it yourself but applying it may be harder than it looks and takes practice.

I ordered the protective film kit for my 22 rav4 hybrid at the dealership. They are going to install it for me as well as fixing the front bumper cover since there was a fitment issue from factory.

@@Nicole.Sisson well allegedly they are going to do a warranty repair on my front bumper but they have to look at it first so they can make sure it wasn't me that did it. I already installed the mud guards and all weather mats. I'm definitely going to get the front windows tinted after seeing how it looks on yours

The best RAV4 upgrades will be adding sound deadening materials from Amazon and you will get QUIETER and comfortable ride. About seventy dollars after tax materials will cover 5 doors and trunk area strategically, 25% coverage will get the best results per dollars basis, after that the effective is much less per dollars basis. I already did trunk area on my 2021 RAV4 hybrid xle, especially rear wheel well. The ride is more quiet. I will apply to all 5 doors. You easily hear difference when you knock the door with and without sound deadening materials. RAV4 has very thin sheet metal, even the hood is flex on highway. Thin tin can will transmit more noise into cabin.
