I've had the bumper for the last few years after I lost an AD300. That being said, I don't use large modifiers outdoors anymore either.

Perfect timing, I'm about to buy my first strobe and can't decide between ad300 or 400. Having this piece of protection available only for 300 might be the tie breaker! Thanks my man.

Get the ad200pro instead, nearly identical output and cheaper, or better get 2 ad100pro which also produce almost the identical output of a 300. I know cause I have them all (600pro, 200, 300, 100 and a v1. My recommendation is: avoid the heavy strobes (400&600). The smaller units are easy to boom on a c stand too and your bag, wallet and back will thank you

@@uhoh7541 you don't need many, just a couple of ad200pro, (one key, one rim/hair light) but then again if you don't mind to carry that much then go big or go home and get yourself the ad1200! (BTW all strobes oveheat if you shoot non-stop bursts) cheers

@@jaegerschtulmann Already saw a video from him about godox lights. This guy's testing methods are sloppy AF (i validate immuno assays for a living and he gets an F for scientific method), his photography is barely average IMO, and sounds like eats 30mg delta 9 snacks multiple times a day. You do you and listen to whoever though.

Did you have any battery issues? My only concern is the bad reviews of faulty batteries. So im thinking of getting the separate power cord just to be safe.
