Thanks for this video. Is it easy to remove the bag from the back of the Moneymaker, for example, when you'd like to sit down?
@rivas66862 жыл бұрын
Quick question… on your moneymaker, do you use you safety lanyards? Obviously I won’t hold you liable for anything but have u ever had a camera come loose with one of those bottom strew on loops they come with. Those quick releases feel pretty sturdy. That safety lanyard gets tangled up all the time. Considering taking them off.
@HeyLauryn Жыл бұрын
I use them, especially when I was shooting canon and had a 70-200. And I was lucky I had it on the camera because one time because I had the strap attached to the tripod ring instead of the camera, the weight of the lens loosened the lens from the body and it came off in my hand and my body just swung from the lanyard. Saved my butt!

I wish you could still get this bag. I'm about to order my first set of the moneymaker straps.
@jbivphotography2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm a little sad they don't make this sepcific version of the bag anymore. They do have a bigger sightseer, but I'm not sure if they're making that one either. Gotta hit them up and ask what their current lineup is.
@andyqbui2 жыл бұрын
The Holdfast sight seer is too baller for me. Is there a cheaper alternative lens bag that you would recommand that will work with the holdfast straps?
@HeyLauryn Жыл бұрын
I’m trying to find one too, specifically because the sightseer is always out of stock.

That's on my wish list. Definitely a must have. Don't forget extra batteries for your flash. lol.

Do you think the new one is too big? There's also a small version but I can't decide! Any advice on how to choose between the two they're selling now? I carry primes, 24, 35, and an 85 plus a flash.

Dunno if you're still monitoring this chat, but if so.... I'm looking to get into the HF gear. I often shoot concerts, but right now with the virus, none of that going on..and no need immediately for dual cameras. I was thinking of just starting out with the Solo and maybe one lens bag for it. However, I've read you can take the regular Holdfast Money Maker, and somehow cinch up one side to make it more of a single camera set up....is that very difficult and have you tried it? Is it effective when configured for only 1 camera as well as it appears to be for 2? Thank you in advance!!
@jbivphotography4 жыл бұрын
I've never actually tried to "chin up" my Moneymaker however I have used it with only one camera on it. What I typically do is take one of the portrait sliders on the side that I'm not using and clip it up on the D-ring on that same side. That way I don't have a slider hanging on one side. That's what I would suggest. If you're looking to invest in it I would say to totally get the full double strap first. I love my solo but it tends to get less use compared to my Moneymaker. bit.ly/2Fsy6YJ Use the code BRANCH2020 for a 15% discount too if you're still looking at getting one. 👍

Great review! How is the weight on your back? Have a Blessed day! 🌹🍃
@jbivphotography5 жыл бұрын
The weight is actually not to bad. By the end of the day it gets a little heavy but as long as you don’t put to much in there it’s not to bad. But with the stuff I usually carry it’s bearable.
@HeyLauryn Жыл бұрын
@@jbivphotography This is what I'm worrying about, but with smaller lenses and little bits of gear seems like it wouldn't be to much of a problem outside of time. I'm looking at getting some bag to sit like this on my moneymaker because I have a bad back so having it distributed and accessible like this would be a lifesaver.

Looks like you shoot film too as an addition to your Fuji. What camera is that If I may know. My favourite is Minolta X700 MPS. I also shoot with Fuji xt2 btw ;)
@jbivphotography5 жыл бұрын
I shoot just a tad bit of film. Haven't done enough in actually shoots. I want to more often. That was the Nikon FG20. I got it from a thrift shot for $10 in GREAT condition with a 50mm lens with it. So lucky. I want to shoot medium format SOO bad.

Hi there, are you using the Canon flash with the Fuji camera? thanks
@jbivphotography6 жыл бұрын
I am. I switched from Canon about 2 years ago and I had the flashes. They worked still so I figured I'd just keep them. So X-T2 and the Canon 600EX-RT is my current setup.
@axelboor6 жыл бұрын
@@jbivphotography Same here, switched from Canon to Sony A7 lll and still have two 600 EX-RT and the ST-E3-RT Transmitter like new, but i don't think can work with Sony.

@John Branch IV Photography Do you still have HSS and TTL with rhe Canon flashes? Not saying its a deal breaker or anything just wondering. Thanks.
@jbivphotography6 жыл бұрын
As far as I've seen it all works fine. I don't tend to need HSS and TTL but I've used it before with my Fuji and it looked like everything was working correctly. Maybe I'll do a video on it.
