Sean is like the Vice Principal sitting in his office trying to have a civil conversation with the smartest, most hyper, sophomore in the school. Bless her heart. This is the result of social media folks. I can't relate to very much of this. 😮 Call me old. Lolx

Speaking from someone stuck in analysis paralysis the pattern I hear from the experts is making 100 videos. No matter what generation is speaking, this is what sticks out the most to me. I feel where the meat of the conversation is is after the 17-minute mark.

I‘m GenX. She’s a typical example for the Dunning Kruger Effect. Unfortunately, her many years of using social media and her success are not enough to come across as a seasoned personality. There is still a lot of life experience missing, especially the profound failures and the self-reflections that follow. Her disrespectful treatment of Sean and the fact that she puts herself in the foreground show the immaturity in dealing with other brands and their communities. From a business perspective, she is doing her personal brand a disservice. She can still learn a lot from Sean. Still an interesting experiment from Sean. In the end, unfortunately, there is not enough substance to better understand GenZ. I would rather refer to Simon Sinek's videos to learn more about GenZ from the business perspective.

@@sun-eyeI will answer if its ok with you. Yes the max length for youtube short is 1 minute. They are talking about tiktok video that’s over 1 minute gets paid more, which means it could be as long as 3 minutes or 10 minutes , it’s the max length you can upload in tiktok. So it will require a lot of editing from 10 minutes to 1 minute youtube Short, Then they mentioned unless its 1 minute and 5 seconds tiktok video where you only need to cut that 5 seconds to turn it into 1 minute youtube short. Ok I hope this answers your question.

Loved this episode! I have a question though...I've been posting close to 10 minute TikToks- almost like full KZbin videos (people comment all the time that they forgot they were on TikTok lol) and these longer Tik Toks have been getting millions of views sometimes....I can't figure out how to monetize them with the "creator fund" she mentioned though because my account is a business account. I'm not sure if keeping the business account is better or if I should switch to a creator account to join the creator fund to actually profit from those videos. This would mean giving up some of the business features and analytics....Any thoughts?

Hey, Sean. You're really becoming a go-to content creator for me lately. Great stuff, every time. Could you explain a little more about the 10 seconds or so that starts at 15.35, please. Just before, you said a conference host had informed that if you get 1M views on a 1-min video on TikTok, they'll give you $1k. At 15.35 you say, but he also said, "the frustrating part is, if you put a lot of energy into it, is now that it's over a minute, you'll have to edit it more for YT shorts." Are you saying, a good TikTok - to keep people engaged for a whole damn minute - will have to be so chock full of energy that it'll be hard to find anything to cut? I guess that's PROBABLY what you mean, but ... I would not be surprised if you're talking about something else that I just have no clue about. And also, are you saying that YT shorts have to be no longer than 1 minute? I know most are very short, obviously, but I thought I've seen some longer than 60 secs. No...? Thanks in advance for your time in reading and responding. I appreciate you, brother.

Wow! It's a whole different language and vocabulary. And it all came with her disrespect, as well. My biggest takeaway is that Think Media should find a Gen Zer now that has something of value to bring and knows how to present themselves. I know that there are many intelligent Gen Zers out there that know how to communicate and present themselves. Go find one of them. This was mind numbing to watch. Quirky is fine. Disrespectful is not.
