That’s their hair 😂 Ethiopians and East Africans in general look alike cause they don’t mix too much with other ethnic groups. And men don’t wear dresses” it looks like it but it’s actually fabric they tie around their hips. Dresses go all the way to the top. A lot of groups in Africa wear that wrapper. Usually with pants underneath.

What does it mean because they don't mix with other ethnic groups , which group, horn Africa is all cushitic genetically, like 96% The Cushites in Kenya Tanzania and Rwanda have mixed with bantu , after bantu migrations in east Africa , but they stopped there, they didn't make it into the horn Africa , but there are still bantu groups in somalia , ethiopia and Eritrea in small percent

I'm from Ethiopia and the reason why you saw their hairs covered is the influence of religion over their culture. In my place of birth, women keep their hairs covered regardless of the religion they are following. Only school age girls are at liberty to wear or not. Yes you heard saying Somali, we have Ethiopian Somali too. That's why they include Somali dance in their videos.

concerning the "dress" people there use two different names for dress and what thy'r wearing It is just a garment which you wrap around your waist just like how you wrap a towel after shower. And mostly those who live in low lands (hot lands) wear it because it comfortable against the high temperature. not for fashion.

@@nunuissa6376 there are semitic people but they look the same as other cushitic people, and nilots are less than 5 percent in ethiopia, and there are some bantu-cushitic mixed people in southern national region ,they're not entirely bantu looking but they still have the features and they also make up small percentage , so most of ethiopia is cushitic , oromo people are 50% of ethiopia population and they are Cushites, amhara and tigray are cushitic and semitic mixes they make 30% of ethiopia , somalia , afar in ethiopia are Cushites , they make 6 % of ethiopia , so majority cushitic people 86%+

I love the video. Ethiopia is the land of Origins. The country is believed to be the origin of humankind; home of the earliest remains of human ancestors ever found (i.e. Lucy). Ethiopia is the only African country that never been colonized by westerners. Beautiful people, and beautiful culture ❤️

I just want to comment on the outfit you guys confused on. the garments that the men wore it’s because they live in around the desert that can’t tolerate the hot weather, as a result of that people in that area always wear garment instead of pant.

Oh no! They are quite different. Am from Kenya. Ethiopia is our neighbor to the north while Somalia is on the east. The main language in Ethiopia is Amharic(closely related with the language Jesus is believed to have spoken) while Somalia speak Somali. However the three countries Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia have Somali communities. It's crazy but remember these borders were drawn by the Europeans when they came to colonize us

@@abyssiniancode3425 have you ever met the 80 ethnic group that are completely different from eachother , it is the biggest lie in the 21 century , ethiopia only have about 10 ethnic groups , which most of the you. Can group them together ancestrically to say they are not completely distnict from eachother Example somalia ,oromo, hadiya , afar share thier languages , thier heritage and culture is very similar before Islamic dressing in somalia the ethnic groups dressed alike their hair n cloths and both have believing system called Waka (Waka mean God in somalia n they believed in it ) their styles and features resemble that of ancient Egyptian paintings Tigray and amhara and Eritrea in the north shares most of their language , have same culture and religions beliefs, same history , and common ancestry You can group others like this too , most of the gambella groups are nilots and coming from common ancestry To say we are such million of tribes with no common ground to communicate or share things with is a lie , plus there are not even such amount of groups here , never seen or heard of them n I lived 26 years of my life in Ethiopia , who came up with this lie
