I am British 72 years old living abroad. I get nothing from my country except one of the worst pensions in the world. I worked from the age of 16 payed my taxes kept my nose clean and never lived on the state, never had day off ill.. If and occasionally when I have the misfortune to travell to what was home I am told by the NHS if I live out of the country for more than 6 months a year I am not entitled to service, I am still paying tax on my pension in the UK and as I was stupid enough to pay into a private pension when Maggie Thatcher promised the earth for taking out a private pension plan not bothering to mention if the stock market collapsed you could loose everything or a lot, twice in my time. I pay tax on the total sum as our present Government didn't raise the tax ceiling so that any increase your pension is TAXABLE, also cut winter fuel allowance probably to pay for more illegals. Fortunately where we live and because we always saved, looked after our finances and lived within our means we can still live OK. We could not afford to live in England or today even want to. Enjoy a country that has gone to the dogs.TRUTH HURTS
