There's a legit reason they call him President trump. First of all he likes it. Actually that's not a legit reason. But if you meet a former president in person, it is not unusual to refer to him as Mr President. Like they still refer to Hillary Clinton as madam Secretary. Even though she's not still Secretary of State. --- and most of these people do run into Trump in person. Especially his attorneys and all that during the trial, Alina Habba was referring to him as 'the president' all the time on TV. --- if I met Barack Obama in person tomorrow, I would say," It's an honor to meet you Mr President." That's a legit thing. Though I would never call him President Obama when I was talking to other people about him. I would refer to him as former president Obama. --- but I think that's mostly why they do it. Because when they are in a room with Trump, they refer to him as Mr president, and of course he likes that. So when they're not in a room with him they keep doing it. --- it's moderately legit.
