Must see sermon on ‘The Gospel’ by Dr. Steve Lawson (teaching from Rom 1:1-17)

Most of my ‘mentors at large’ are old dead men, but Dr. Steven J. Lawson is one that I can appreciate today. Lord let it be Your will that I might continue preaching Your Gospel to many each day (as well as others).
This message is exclusively for those that are saved, not to those that are still lost.

I love Steve Lawson's preaching! This is a very powerful sermon, but I'm afraid that Mr. Lawson made an error in this message. At 37:54, he said that Christ was betrayed for 30 pieces of gold. In actuality, Scripture says that it was 30 pieces of silver. See Matthew 26:15.

The concept in actuality is that Judas sold his soul for betraying Jesus that’s what truly matters. It was silver matter any?. Or that it was gold? It was a slaves cost, an average slave cost It was weighed at that time as value, not like our dollar amount today I’m curious why you pointed that out but yes it has been translated silver

Thank God for Mr. Lawson. Listening to him preach is like finding beautiful hidden treasure. It's just that is not hidden, we need Jesus to give us understanding. So thank you Mr. Lawson. Compare this preaching to Benny Hinn and Joel Olsteen and the like. They are false teachers. Pastor Lawson is a sinner who has been transformed by the Gospel of God, and boldly proclaims it.

Great preachers are Gospel preachers, we proclaim Him!!! Tenets of the Gospels: 1) Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT, 2) Sinless life of Jesus Christ, 3) Substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, 4) Bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 5) necessity of repentance and faith from sinful men Jesus Object and Giver of faith, Jesus exclusively the way to God and forgiveness.

Greetings to you my brother, Steve Lawson is anything BUT post modern which you have stated in your synopsis. I understand what you are trying to say but words do matter and they lead people down a particular line of thought. Post modern is a negative term to those that hold to sola scriptura. I dont think that you would want to misrepresent a true servant of Christ. "Post modern" represents 'the dissolution of "cold, hard biblical fact . Post modernism is the unbiblical church that is in favor of "warm, fuzzy subjectivity." Post modern is the emergent church. It is the church that is apostate . Changing your words "post modern" to 'present day' will alleviate any confusion . Blessings to you

Matthew 10:5-7 and Romans 15:8 confirms this. There were no promise made to the Gentiles Ephesians 2:12 that Paul should preach them. I admit that I am a bit disappointed with Dr. Lawson. I thought he was a young man. I just found out that he is only a couple years younger than I am; he merely looks young.

How can this message be for those who are saved and not for the lost? It doesn't make any sense the gospel must be preached to the lost that hearing they may be saved. The gospel is for the lost.
