Love this recipe. Can’t wait to try it. Do you freeze the tofu in its liquid or freeze it after pressing the liquid out?
@MakeItDairyFree4 жыл бұрын
sorry I should have read this while not doing things. Just to clarify, we throw the whole package into the freezer and then we press the liquid out once we defrost

I'm not vegan, but i'm here watching vegan recipes so I can cook for my vegan girlfriend. I am a dutiful girlfriend, and I hope to be a dutiful wife for her someday. I've actually found I like a lot of the substitutes that are available. It's really simplified a lot of vegan cooking. That said, from scratch recipes? They rock. Thanks for these

I worked in Bojangles when I was in high school and I was the best biscuit maker on my shift! And yes, SUPER cold buttermilk was the way to go! I live in the south, so I'm surrounded fried chicken spots. I'm very excited to have fried "chicken" and biscuits again now that I'm vegan. Thanks for sharing the love yall! Also, I always thought Chik fil a got that signature flavor from the peanut oil, but the brine makes so much sense!

I got all excited today when I saw an article saying Chick Fil-A was launching a cauliflower sandwich close to where I live...only to find out the breading still has dairy and eggs (*wah wah trumpet plunger noise*). But then I saw this video, so now I'm super excited to make my own vegan CFA! 🎉 Thanks for your hard work and inspiration!

Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh !!! ;) I'm writing from Portugal. I have a doubt. When you say "Vegan Butter" is that the same as "Margarine" or is it another kind of spread ? Because here I think I never saw "Vegan Butter" for sale. Thanks ;)
@MakeItDairyFree4 жыл бұрын
Yes as long as there is no dairy/animal products in the margarine, it's the same. Sometimes in the US, even margarine still contains dairy
@19Vxc764 жыл бұрын
@@MakeItDairyFree Thanks for the quick reply ;) Here there's also margarine with butter flavour (with a small percentage of milk). There's also something that maybe could be that. We call it (translated) "Soy vegetable spread". Link with that kind of product from a local supermarket www.continente.pt/stores/continente/pt-pt/public/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=2833163(eCsf_RetekProductCatalog_MegastoreContinenteOnline_Continente) It's from Alpro, I will try to get another brand because I boycott Alpro products. Thanks again ;)
