Beautiful greenery around Bhutan. You can do it Mr P. with climbing up those stairs. Just think about climbing Mt Kinabalu lol.

@94vrcommodore haha I was panting even harder during Mt KK, just that it was not captured on footage for jelly to edit (and laugh at). Reminder to self to take more b-reels of jelly’s antics next. Thanks always for supporting our vlog 🍻

Hi Jelly and Mr. P, thank you for the wonderful video. It must have taken lots of effort to edit. I am surprised to know that the Dochulas Pass is higher than Mt Gede! I wish I can breathe the mountain air and smell the wonderful smells of the land and oh my, what delicious food you had. You are so lucky! I didn't know they eat spicy food. I really can sense the joy through your video from your laughter and bright smiles. Out of curiosity, is the floor of your hotel heated? Do you do laundry?
@tzew7 ай бұрын
@tobyteng7522 hello there! Yes, Jelly was pulling her hair out trying to edit out (in) my panting and bloopers. Dochula pass was innocently high, it was about 8 deg in the day, and closing in to 0 deg at night (we stopped by when we drove back to Thimphu). We were lucky to have a good day to see the snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges. Ended up spending close to an hour just enjoying the air/view. The hotel floor was not heated (sustainable) but we did have a well-functioning heater that warmed up the room comfortably and helped dry some small hand washed items. For this trip, we packed a week's worth of clothes but we did have a laundry run when we were transiting back to Bangkok. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙂

Hi Toby! Thanks for dropping us such a heartfelt note ☺️. I did spend a considerable amount of time editing the video - tech. gear aside, I need to level up this skillset of mine to make things more efficient 😂. And yes, Bhutanese have a liking for intense spices! When they say 'spicy', it's really spicy...this is coming from someone who loves her chilli padi 😛. Our guide, Kinley has travelled to SG, and tried SG food before. He commented that our chilli aren't that spicy, so he took effort to bring along chilli from Bhutan when he visited SG, becos he missed Bhutan's spices so much haha. 😲

@4:49 BTS shots of the heavy panting and Kinley running to catch up. It was quiet when we were there, but we saw vids where the Chief Abbot was leading a prayer and the entire open space is filled up. We can only imagine. @7:10 for those who are wondering, we found the geocache! This small uphill hike at the nearby Kuenselphodrang Nature Park took about 15-20mins but offered an alternative view of the entire valley and Buddha Point. If you have time/energy, its a good side quest 🙂 @11:03 the kid winked! Although tantrums are normal, Bhutanese kids are generally well behaved and polite. @11:40 nostalgia signature counterstrike moment, need backup 😂 @12:02, now everyone knows what Cookie the Globetrotters holds within. @12:17 to @12:44 To those curious, we spend about 15 mins at the cafe before heading off to lunch at Manchunen, which was located about 10mins away Dochula Pass. @17:33 the hay stack is heavier than expected, but the throw depended a lot on the wind direction. Can't be helped that there was a strong gust right when I threw the stack @21:10 , witnessing the nuns' evening class was quite an experience, and one to remember fondly @26:38 there is nothing flippant about enjoying spices but choosing to avoid for a meal given the propensity of a stomach revolt while hiking to Khamsum Yuelley the next day. Its called foresight, @oheyjelly you should try it 🙂 Stay Tuned for the next episode in our Bhutan travel series!
