Just wanted to address a few things in the comments here. 1. Yes, he is applying it to a new car. That is what these products are designed for. Either new paint, or "corrected" paint (compounded, polished, clay bar, ect). 2. Ceramic coatings do not "fix" old paint. Any imperfections you have, from swirl marks, to oxidation, will still be there after coating. If anything, coating will make them worse, because they will be much more difficult to correct after it has been applied. 3. The biggest difference between the cheap "blue bottle" coatings, and higher quality, DIY coatings is the type and amount of solvents in them. This is both a good, and bad thing. The good part is, you are much less likely to screw your paint up by not getting the product removed in time. (FYI ... I watched your application video, and if you had applied a higher quality product to the entire hood like you did, you would have been in for a bad time). The bad part about this is, because of the VERY long flash time, you are actually getting a much thinner coating, usually less than 1/4 of what you get with higher quality products. If you really want to use the blue bottle coatings, I suggest multiple coatings applied about a week apart. 4. Coatings and wax are not the same thing. Wax .. ANY wax ... will be much more hydrophobic than a coating. So yes, Turtle Wax Ice will bead water, and shine better than any coating. But it does nothing to actually protect your clear. The purpose of a ceramic coating is to provide a sacrificial layer of product that will take the minor scratches from use. If you want a good shine, and water beading, wax the car after the coating has had time to fully cure. The #1 "problem" with coatings is the marketing. They all are marketed to say they do things that they don't. The layer of protection they provide is only micron's thick. They are not going to prevent rock chips. If you want that, get a clear wrap. They will prevent very light scratches, but I would not be expecting it to prevent trees from scratching. Something like that is just going to go right through the coating and into your clear. The reason a "professional" coating costs so much is in the prep work done before the coating, not the coating itself. The products used my most professionals can be bought by anyone for $70-80 a bottle. Again, the big difference is in how fast they flash, which affects the thickness of the coating that is left behind. However, you want to be working in about a 2ft x 2ft section, because if it fully flashes (dries), you are screwed, and will be compounding and polishing the jacked up coating off the car.

Most new zero mileage cars need correcting. The sweaty minimum wage cleaning ape puts marks in at the dealership, mainly because they use the same gritty rag all day to 'clean' every car that day.

Thanks for this unbiased and practical review showing that it works as it's supposed to. Maybe not on a spectacular car show quality level, but way better than frequent waxing or other expensive similar alternatives. Saves time too. For daily commuters and average car owners, this is a good option to at least have some semi-permanent layer of moderate protection that doesn't cost too much. Some people just don't get the point--putting those savings to more important things in life--like your house and your family.

Will it give any better result if I apply mr fix on a surface that already has some scratches?
@EvilBatman6 жыл бұрын
I have not applied it to areas that have scratches. As per the instructions the surface needs to be prepped and it may be best to use a light abrasive compound or polish to remove scratches. This is not intended to fill scratches.
@mikezog10305 жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't hide defects or scratches in the paint. If you have scratches before, you will have scratches after. They will just be covered in a hard layer that is difficult to remove. So they will be baked in semi permanently.

Hi, how do i remove mr.fix 9h from my car? Appreciate if someone can answer
@EvilBatman6 жыл бұрын
It is a process, since the product is semi permanent. The whole car or area will need to be polished using a compound, which I would suggest taking it to a professional so you don't damage the paint. Or you can wait and it will eventually wear from washing and so on ,but that could be long depending on the amount used. Good luck and please be carefull.
@urbanedgeautodetailing6 жыл бұрын
With the low Si02% in Mr fix it can be removed by polishing with a light compound or medium- heavy polish.

@STARZFAN316 жыл бұрын
The cloth that comes with the product falls apart as you apply the product.. it is crap. Use something else for that. As for it coming off with no effort on the first damp cloth wipe,, BS. Took elbow grease for me to do the first damp cloth wipe followed by the dry cloth wipe. Not impressed at all with this 20 dollar Chinese junk. Turtle Wax Ice makes my car look just as good, sheds and beads water for a very long time between applications, and is just a spray on, wipe off product. I highly suggest it.
@EvilBatman6 жыл бұрын
You are right I used several cloths. On my other car I used a chamois cloth, which was good except it soaked up a lot of the product. I didn't have a problem removing the product, but as seen in the video I did a super lite buff after to get any residue.
@STARZFAN316 жыл бұрын
This product is cheap crap and if not applied in the exact perfect conditions will do little more than fuck up your paint job. Folks, pass on the cheap Chinese garbage. Really want a ceramic coating, pay 700 bucks for a professional to do it properly. If you dont want to do that, use a produce like Turtle Wax Ice, which has been shown in many youtube video tests, to last as long and bead water as long as these cheap "ceramic" coatings which are really nothing more than a type of epoxy resin. Once a month I wipe my car down with Turtle Wax Ice spray and wipe wax. It looks as good as these ceramic coated cars and I do not risk jacking up my paint trying to apply cheap products like this. Hell, you cannot even understand the directions that come with 9H so you have to go online to find a video about how to properly apply the stuff. That shows you exactly how cheap and dangerous this product really is.
@STARZFAN316 жыл бұрын
As seen in the video, you also applied it to a brand new vehicle. That is probably the ONLY way you will get decent results. Outside of that, it is going to leave smear and swirl marks all over your paint that look like hell until the stuff wears off, and thank God that it does.
@mikezog10305 жыл бұрын
I applied it on a dry cloth, then wiped it on in a cross-hatch pattern. Then after 3 to 5 minutes, I wiped it with a wet microfliber towel (short fibers) that had been wrung out, and immediately after wiping with the wet cloth, I wiped it with a detailing microfiber (long fibers) towel. It came out perfectly on the paint and windscreen. No residue or marks at all.
