My mom grew up with cats, but she married my dad who has a cat allergy. Only to domestic cats, not big or wild cats. My dad was in the circus and was around lions and tigers with no problems. My parents met a Bengal and no reaction from Dad! My mom just got a Bengal and is happy to have a cat for the first time in over 40 years!

I am so happy for the good ending. I have never met Bengal in person and know that I will start to cry immediately out of pure emotion and love. I regularly have that reaction when watching cat videos. Remembering my lives when a few times I was born as one. Even just thinking about them makes me tear up. really crazy phenomenon. is there anyone else out there who is this far gone?

I've had Bengals for about 16 years. The hardest and most consistent habit to break is to teach them to show affection without drawing blood. You need to start teaching them young that hands are for petting - catfishing poles are for play, don't mix it up. I love the intelligence, the fact that they are very sociable and gorgeous to look at.

A friend of mine fostered a group of 6 kittens for her area shelter. 2 were Bengals. She downloaded a game of chase and catch the butterflies on her tablet and turn the kittens loose on it. What a hoot. We laughed so hard especially when a butterfly went over the edge and the kitten was trying to flip the tablet to find out where it went. These Bengals are so smart and love being your best buddy. My first Bengal loved riding in the car/truck. I got Hobbes used to a harness and took him down to the dog park and taught him to walk on a leash - just got a long thin whippy stick and bounced it along in front of him. He had so much fun. Dog people came up to me and asked how I trained a cat to be on a leash - I didn't tell them it was his first day.

This is such a great video! I have a Bengal and can confirm everything said in this video. Bengals really are super affectionate, curious, active cats. This guy is so smart, he knows my routine and often communicates what he wants very well with body language. Honestly, all my older cats love to play fetch. Having a daily play routine for at least 15min and then feeding them is a great way to keep them sharp. Also, talk to your cats often and involve them in activities you do around the house because house cats usually don't have much stimulus indoors. Keeping them active is the biggest gift you can give them, they will love you for it!

We have adopted an abandoned cat. He was in extreme distress when found. His previous owners left the country and just left him. It turns out that this strange and beautiful youngster is a bengal or bengal mix. I’ve never met a cat like him. He has these extraordinary symmetrical marbling markings and this video describes his personality and characteristics perfectly. We are lucky that we live in a small, securely enclosed garden with a lot of trees, a mini jungle. His own private playground. We work from home so he is never left alone for more than a few hours. He is enormously entertaining and smart and boy does he love to play and he talks a lot. He is very much like a wild animal that has been tamed, not like an average domestic cat. I love him and he loves us. He wants to play now so gotta go.

I didn't know I was getting a Bengal cat many days before I already had one! After he has become an adult age male we now get along at home really well with him. He's talkative but his meowing voice isn't very loud. He tends to meow on his own early in the morning and quite late in the evening. He's really active when he isn't sleeping for hours. I have bought him many different beds and a lot of toys. When I'm feeling sad and blue, he shows a lot of empathy. He kisses my face and sniffs my eyes. He sometimes combs my hair with his claws when I'm sleeping and he wants to wake me up! He returns me my jewellery sometimes back if I've lost, say, an earring. He takes a very supportive attitude when we are cleaning our home. He's 3 years old now. ❤

I have a bengal mix, he is about 10 years now and fully white. He has the size of the bengal mother, but from his father, the fur, colour and length of the fur. I'm trying to learn more about him and I can see where he gets some of his behaviours. This explains why he loves the sink and is still able to play at 10 years old. He is extremely doglike and we even taught him tricks like sit, paw, high five, heel, stand, speak, dance and headbump

We have two bengal males. First we bought just one, but he got lonely and depressed after 2-3 months with us, despite the fact that we played with him every days at least 2-3 hours, and I work from home, so he was never alone. When the new pal arrived, the depression was quickly gone, and we knew it was a good decision to get another bengal cat. I think, they are so active that they need a cat-friend, so they can play the whole day, when they want to. It costs a lot of money to get 2 of them, but I highly recommend to do it so, because they are much happier, if they have a friend of their own kind. Other than that, I have never met a cat, who is so affectionate, like our bengals. Once my husband was very ill, he couldn't get out of bed for one week, and our cats wouldn't left him for a minute, they slept next to his legs for the whole week, it was so moving. They soooo love us, when we are sad, they come and sit with us, trying to comfort us, they are truly one of a kind. I would never buy a cat from another breed. ❤ And they are extremely smart, as if they were dogs in a catsuit. :D And they always follow us in the flat, if we close the door, it's killing them that they can't be with us for 10 Minutes, it's really sweet.

I owned a male siamese adult and got a male bengal kitten -- they were both so alpha that it was a problem right from day 1. These two beautiful animals never got along and were equally matched. After fighting for a solid year, there was no clear winner so they just tolerated each other after that. In hindsight I should have returned the kitten -- but after being in the home for a few weeks I was in love.

He's a rust color with rosettes. He started having teeth complications as he got older. He's now lost all his back teeth but he's still a VERY vocal, loving, and playful companion often found cuddled near me. He greets me every day I come home from work and meows until I play with him or feed him. He's my fur baby and I love him so very much! I'm dreading the day I lose him to old age.

2 different friends got Bengals after meeting mine. This caused a chain reaction in my neighborhood. We had quite a few living near. They are fun loving and brilliant, at least the group that we collected. They are amazing. My Mojo had dental problems. He lost a few in the back and unfortunately he got cancer in his jaw. We lost him at 12 years of age. His sister who wasn't allowed outside lived to be 15 1/2. My husband and I wonder if Mojo would have lived longer if we kept him inside. We decided that he wouldn't have liked being cooped up. He was a happy guy.

My 8 month old Bengal is Hell on Wheels. She bites, and bites hard. She does not like to be held, until she says so...and when she wants to sit in my lap. She has the zoomies times a thousand. She climbs, chews, tears things up, and will not learn the word NO. I keep a spray bottle near by me constantly. The only times she is vocal is just before she is going to do something naughty...like she is saying "try to stop me" and she will look right at me when doing something wrong, as if implying "I am going to do it anyway regardless." She can be mean and temperamental, and she can be quite awnry. She is a definite handful to say the least. But I still love her.

Norway Forest cat was shocked to have a 6lb. cat kick his ass all the way out of the house.he wouldn't go near that part of the house anymore...My little Cougar was very lovable until it came to my other cats. The guy I got her from said she faced off with his Great Dane, the dog backed down!So remember kids,no other pets!

That's true. I have 4 other regular rescue full grown cats. Brought in the rescue Bengal as a baby. They hat along just fine but maybe it's because her was a baby when I brought him into the clan. As an adult, I'm not sure. As a baby he was fearless and would leap on the back of our Maine coons and ride him... That was when he was an infant. The other cats tolerated his antics and let him crawl all over them. They still play but sometimes the regulars walk away of possible and want to get away from the Bengal's toomuch playfulness

I have two bangle cats and this video is really great! One cat is 2 generations from the Leopard cat and he can be soo wild sometimes while my other cat is sweet and well behaved, I had no idea that that it took 4 generations to get the wild out, Also he has much larger rounder eyes than the other cat does. I totally feel like my bangles act more like dogs, they open my doors and have even learned to open the fridge and tupawhere we have to clean everything and hide things from them, they sleep on a schedule and they great me with howls whenever I come home and need me to instantly hold or play with them. They are a lot of work and for all the games they play they never have scratched my kids even when I know they deserved it

I own two wonderful, loyal 13 year old female Bengals. They have never swiped at us, bitten us, or hissed at us. Only each other (they're sisters). Even though they are super high energy even at their age, they still chill with us and watch movies and TV right alongside us. They are both talkative and highly intelligent, and I can get where you said to keep them entertained or they WILL get into mischief. Attention is attention, even if it's negative, I guess. I suppose mine came from an excellent breeder, because they display all the desirable traits (rosettes, silky coat) and they both even have the glitter that can be seen in sunlight and can't be easily photographed. In all my years owning cats, I have never owned a pair that could jump so high or run so fast. It's a good thing they're indoor, otherwise they would have already devastated local bird populations!!

You have the ideal situation adopting siblings, so they have company but it's someone the've been with since kittenhood so no territorial disputes. Downside, of course, is they work together (like velociraptors!). Sounds like you have no worries there though.

We adopted our bengal cat two years ago. His name is blazey. He is very demanding. He won’t let you sleep at night because he wants to go out. So, we built a cat door for him so that he can go out and come home when he wants to. He likes to do his business outside. Some neighbours are complaining about our cat because he bullies other cat. He is very territorial and a good hunter. In fact, whenever I wake up in the morning there is a dead rat in our kitchen floor which reduces my problem in my garden. He is very gentle to our children and never uses his claws. He gets along with my dog and very affectionate. We love our blazey.

Loves walks on a leash, loves to play fetch, always asking to be picked up and carried around, super energetic and friendly, loves all people, always licking people like a dog. He is certainly unique and needs a friend as our other cat sadly recently passed. Perhaps a bangle cat would be best… but they said pair bangles with a non dominant cat?

Totally right on the glitter effect of at least some Bengals. My previous wife and I rescued one, and every fur tip was in gold. Cameras just don't do justice to this feature. When the sun hit him just right, he would glitter or gleam. Best to see this close up. He made us think of the Egyptian worship of cats - so we named him Pharaoh. Astoundingly beautiful. He wasn't much for being picked up but would lie next to us and he loved to give head bumps. A very loving kitty. I plan on getting another one relatively soon.

I have a rescue Bengal, and she has the glittery fur when it catches the sun. She's the fifth cat I've ever owned and by far the most demanding, manipulative, and talkative. I can have running conversations with her where she always answers back. I love her to bits although she can be a handful at times and constantly demanding attention when she isn't sleeping. I harnessed trained her and take her on walks, but I definitely wouldn't recommend a Bengal cat to a first-time cat owner. Unfortunately some of them do end up in shelters because people buy one for the looks, then find they can't cope with the constant need for attention, wrecking your furniture, and inappropriate peeing. Get used to having to leave all the doors in your house wedged open, because they want access everywhere and will yowl until they get it. It's like having a super-smart, manipulative toddler in your house that never grows up. She gets away with it by knowing when to be affectionate, and often gets under the covers beside me in bed. I wouldn't swap her for the world, but just be warned, if you're looking for a nice, easy-going, chilled house cat, a Bengal isn't it.

I was actually shocked when I looked up local maine coon kittens vs. Bengal kittens. I thought Bengals would be $5000-$8000. Contrarily, the Maine coons were about $2000+ and the bengals were $800+.

I am very interested in the Bengal cat breed. Over the years I have owned numerous different types of cats, including feral cats which I have helped to tame but also kept them at their independence. I have also owned hybrids in various types of animals. My husband and I have raised wolves also. My husband had an Arctic wolf, red wolf and Timberwolf. I have owned a half malamute, half Timberwolf and everyone said this combination was very independent and stubborn, that being said, I was not deterred and he lived to be 12 yrs. old. I have also had a red wolf and raised her but lost her to brain cancer, which nearly devastated me! Over the years, I chose to raise Malamutes and Siberian huskys. I choose these breeds because while they are dogs, they are the closest to the wild wolf and they have certain qualities and mannerisms of the feline species, so, I got the best of three worlds. I could have a dog that acted like a wolf and a cat all rolled into one! At this time, I am looking for a cat but not just any cat will do for me. I am very interested in the Bengal breed due to the fact that they do have different qualities to their personality and since I have always loved animals especially the wild kind, I am looking into the many different breeders of the Bengal cat. Thank you for your video and I look forward to seeing more videos from you in the future 💕💕💕💕🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

I have two and honestly they aren't nearly as different from other cats as some people make them out to be. All cats need mental stimulation, all cats need space to run and play and they all have their own personalities. Two purebred Bengals and other than looks they are nothing alike. They are like shiny versions of other cat breeds. All the traits listed here fit one of my mixed breed European short-haired cats just like one of my Bengals but not the other one. The other one is like a goofy puppy even at 5 years old. Very easy going and very easy to handle. He never does anything stupid when he is bored. So don't be surprised if you get a Bengal cat and they aren't like what is described in this video because being a certain breed really doesn't mean that they are all the same. I mean we are all humans and still not the same even compared to our siblings.

You are 100% correct. Cats are individuals to a far greater degree than the internet pretends. I had a bengal that was _afraid of heights_. From kittenhood, he would follow her brothers & sisters _up,_ and then when the fur cyclone went down, he would realize where he was and scream his head off until rescued. Never outgrew it.

A friend of mine has a bengal cat and live on the forth floor of a building. One day her male bengal cat made unusual meowing sounds and wanted to go out on her balcony. When she opened the door and he walked out and they both saw a cat sitting there on the balcony waiting. It was a young female bengal cat savannah cat mix that had climbed up the wall all the way to forth floor from the ground. She opened the door to her large cat cage she has on her balcony and put the young female cat in there until she found the owner thanks to the RF id chip it had. For once her bengal cat was not angry at the visiter, usually he is angry and wants to fight with all cats he meets, this one he was calm and intrigued by :)

Our cat is half Bengal; her sire was a silver Bengal and her mother was a floozie tabby. I totally agree with the softness of their coat - it feels more like an angora rabbit than a cat! One thing you didn’t mention - and it is an important fact - is that Bengal ‘love bites’ can really hurt. Due to them descending from the Leopard Cat, their jaw strength is just much stronger than a normal cat. Even though it’s just in play or affection, she often breaks skin with her teeth. We taught her the word “gentle” when she was still a kitten and that has helped somewhat, but be aware that when they get excited by fun or affection, you could get a chomp in place of a nibble.

They are sometimes like a 2 year old toddler on a sugar high so get ready for this cat is not for everyone. They are major climbers so forget having anything on your shelves for they will knock them down and they are little kleptomaniac so do not leave anything lying around. Looks wise they like the Abyssinians and the Egyptian Maus would be considered the super models of the cat world for they are drop dead gorgeous but this should not be the sole reason for getting one and if you have a small apartment then forget about getting one.

He already someone got into the vent system in our house haha. He gets along well with our other animals though and is quite playful. He’s also quite vocal. We named him Loki because of his energy haha. I will say he’s not the typical bangle colors. He’s like grey/white with a light brown spots and stripes and SUPER blue eyes. I do think he’s a bangle though because of her personality and his markings are the same, just the color is a bit different. We love him dearly. Last summer, my wife and I were biking on a local trail & a beautiful marbled Bengal was just laying in the middle of the trail. I could tell that she was hot, tired, hungry, and dehydrated. She was wearing a simple collar, so I thought that someone would be looking for her. I was unable to locate her owner. Shortly thereafter, she was diagnosed with a blood infection. We thought that she would not survive. Fortunately, she was not a picky-eater (due to being malnourished, I suppose). That meant that she was willing to eat any food that had medicine mixed in. Now, Missy is almost 11 pounds & doing great!
