Any updates on the filter system? I have been having issues with my set up as well. I have an updated seal but not the one you have. If your new housing and seal insert don't get it done, I may just get the old style again. I know that system works amazing.

I haven’t had it out since my most recent update. S&B actually sent me a whole new motor to see if that fixed my issue but it’s been snowing and cold in Kansas so I haven’t been able to ride yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks it’ll dry out some and I can get out and put it to the test!

I understand it’s still early to assess the improved parts, but is it possible to use a good quality electrical tape to re I force the seal? When I see other videos from guys saying that they blew up their engines and Polaris is saying it’s a result of dust getting in to the engine, the tape could be cheap Insurance. Just a suggestion, don’t know if it’s practical.

That wouldn’t be a bad idea honestly, you could wrap it all the way around that seal to make sure it doesn’t pass by. The separator is behind that seal so in theory it should filter out the dust that passes by but maybe it is just too much dust. I rode this weekend but it was muddy so I’m sure it’s still clean in there but I’ll have to take it all apart when I do my winter maintenance and check it all out!

Frankly, this S & B would have nothing to do with dust migration past the OEM filter, as the stock filter is still in place; that is another issue. Dust getting into the filter box inlet tube is hardly anything to be concerned with. What this S & B will do is reduce the amount of dust getting to the filter, therefore reducing filter service/replacements, and extending flow performance.
