I'm not even a huge racing fan, but Tony Stewart is a very authentic person

That was great. This is a guy that means a ton to a ton of people. I've been proud to wear his name and number, first the 20, now the 14, since his rookie year. I started rooting for him his last year in IndyCars, so I've gotten to go on this entire ride in NASCAR. It's been great, and it's not over. The Sprint Cup side may be coming to an end from a driver standpoint, but he'll still be there, and there's still a lot of racing left to be done. And while I've only been on the periphery of this ride as a devout fan, I feel Eddie Jarvis's words in particular resonate for me too. When I started rooting for Tony it was because he was the cool, cocky kid from Indiana with the red-hot fluorescent yellow and day-glo orange paint scheme on his IndyCar, which was the criteria of awesome for a 12-year-old kid. But I've stayed with him all this time through some pretty high highs and some of the lowest lows imaginable and stood by him not because of the kind of racer he is, but the kind of person he is. So proud to be his fan.

Yes really...Haven't you watched the video of him gassing and fishtailing his car up the track into Kevin Ward jr? Running him over and killing him? You should watch it...

here's a little thing...there's a little thing called statute of limitations...so the ward family needs to hop to it when suing you-know-who...

All you grandstand drivers should go to a drivers meeting at any race track in America. 1 of the first things they tell every driver is to stay in your car until the safety crew arrives unless it's on fire. It's a tradegy yes that the young kid died, but a tradegy of his own doing. If he'd stayed in his car he'd still be alive. Yes I'm a race car driver. I use to race ump and usmts modifieds, now I'm building an imca modified.

Thank you for saying that! I raced from 4-25yrs old and that’s exactly what I’ve heard from literally 4yrs old. My dad is a trauma surgeon so he worked at the races I was in growing up and they wanted you to stay in in the event you have some sort of injury. The track wanted you in because in the 50-60s people got ran over getting out so they made that rule. That stupid pot head gets out on a winged sprint car track which is literally the dumbest type of car you could get out on the track near. That wing blocks the visibility on the right and it’s just stupid his parents can’t admit they raised a disrespectful kid that got himself killed. I have 5 daughters 1 son and I tell them racing all the time. If you do something stupid and get hurt I’m not taking your side. You won’t make somebody feel bad and hurt their heart when your the one in the wrong as this kids parents did

When a driver see's another driver on the track under the waiving "yellow" you expect anything ahead you" Don't " crack the throttle to bring the ass end around - it's too dangerous ! this time it killed a person, Tony has jumped out of his car on the track numerous times over the years in a temper rage, Tony's temper got the best him that day !!

Notice they don't ask him about what he is actually known for, the killing of a young Kevin Ward. Ward made the fatal mistake of challenging Stewart's titanic ego on a Saturday night track in America. Stewart will never receive the respect because of his out of control attitude that has been well documented. The camera is his worst enemy.
