The best way to accelerate any C7 Covette while rolling is to quickly apply full throttle and release, this will enable car to gets into power band by dropping a few gears (and activating active performance shift)and then stab the throttle and see it fly.

I had a supercharged C7 Z51 A8. That 8 spd auto actually shifts faster if you let it do it instead of paddle shifting. There's a slight delay in upshifts and downshifts with the paddles on C7's

@@BEBNC1 I've driven both of them. That's why I opted for the ZR1 over the GT500. After about 30 minutes, the Mustang killed my back. I've never felt any back pain after driving the ZR1 and I've gone hours driving it (should more that those hours driving was after I bought the ZR1, not during the test drive lol). The GT500 is a great car and I do like it, but the ride is too harsh for me. That and I can't fit into it as comfortably as the ZR1.

Also this vette was a convertible so 60 pounds heavier and less aerodynamic then the hardtop. The gt500 is like 50k cheaper though so its a beast of a car for the money and the only one I probably have a chance of owning 😆

@@cali2468 well I too ve raced n one f these and to be fair.. the mightier engine according to me is the 5.2 Predator. Gt500 has more disadvantages in it sides than the ZR1. For 1 its much taller means way higher CG, then the weight.. U switch and U feel the weight.. its sure to be over 500 lbs and thats no small number pretty sure that if ZR1 weighed 4100 lbs while it being this low with LT5 it wud get reeled over by GT500. But its true the ZR1 is a much better sports car. The stock coupe ZR1 with A8 weighed around 3670 lbs.

The looks aren't bad but I cannot stand the ride in mustangs. Kills my back. The ZR1 is surprising comfortable though. That being said, they both are stupid fast, stupid loud, and stupid fun to drive.
