Thanks Adam .. ,As you mentioned ,making sure the pulley/sheaves are lined up prevent pre mature wear on the belts. As we all know bearings and belts are the major wear items on our grinders,. well besides the teeth , but thats a given. Keep the videos coming Sir.

What is the part number of the small upper pulley? OEM or generic? Mine is squalling and slipping. It is worn out and in need of replacement.

They still make the old ones but around $300 but I have a video on rebuilding one but you can go on facebook and join the vermeer 252 group and see if someone has an old one

Do you guys give estimates before calling 811?, or do you go give estimate then call 811, I've put in my add to please have lines marked before calling me, but Seems like not many people wanna wait, especially a tree service that usually wants it done asap. Should I just not grind very deep on those? With gas prices going up seems like a huge waste of time/gas to have to make 2 trips. Question open for anyone to answer, I know Adam is probably a busy guy. I've read on the stump grinders Facebook group that damages to utilities won't be covered by insurance if lines aren't marked, and don't wanna make some huge $ mistakes like hitting fiber optic lines.

I still give a quote , if it requires utilities locate I let the owner know that may change things like how deep we go ,etc.. Its all in my scope of work contract . I wait until I`m notified that it has been flagged before grinding.
