It's easy to overlook how excellent the camera work, editing, and commentary is from Darren. Because it seems so natural, almost like we are there in the shop helping. Especially when he asks us questions! 😁 Great channel, thanks Darren! 👍👍

Yes and especially there's no annoying intro, title screen or music. Plus no selfie monologue before the fixing or action begins; Mustie films in 1st person perspective or 2nd person, as if we are there looking over his shoulder. These features cannot be overstated nor ignored.

For those of you who are new here, Mustie1 has the full capabilities to restore these little treasures in mint condition but chooses to restore some with what he has readily available. This basically makes it a perfect channel for when we were all 10 - 15 years old. That time in our life when these vehicles gave us our much needed independence to explore the world on our own. He teaches all of us how to improvise and not just buy parts. These are skills most people are missing today. While most people may head for their crazy uncles house during the apocalypse because he has guns and groceries, I'll be headed to Mustie's because he has the knowledge to make things work. He could just as easily run an armory repairing guns, fixing jeeps, tanks, or flipping cars, flipping houses, etc... but chooses this because it's fun.

I had a yellow Honda z50 when I was a kid, and I loved it, but always longed for more power. One day I was riding the trails, and came across another kid who had one of these. At first, I noticed how similar it looked to my z50, but I thought it was a bit odd looking, especially with that gas tank. But oh man, once he fired it up and took off, I was green with envy!!! That thing would just haul compared to my little z50. I wanted one so bad...

28:40 perhaps cut the old tank in two, fit the little black tank in it, and welled it all back shut, then slap a coat of Bondo on the old take and just to make it look decent and a coat of paint. that way you won't have a leaking tank and yet keep the original look of the bike.

This bike reminds me of a HONDA 110 TRAIL. The Tanzanian Government had given all its “men” staff one of them between 1990-1992, and my neighbour friend’s Dad brought one home and I still remember how exited my friend was, and I thought it was the coolest bike one can own at that time. The only bike I know that had the “Hugest” rear luggage seat!! If you sit on it, you had to spread the legs wide!!! But it was great for women, coz they used to sit sideways back in the days. I wouldn't even bother with the welding. Tank liner then put some glazing putty on it like it had. Whoever did that had the right idea.

Best mini bike ever? Its certainly up there that thing has speed and power and really goes for what it is, get that float sorted and it will be pure dreams long live the 2 strokes! I look forward to the vehicle and bigger bike content coming soon.

My old harley mini bike float was the same way, would leak once in awhile and I had to control how much fuel it got with the petcock, also had to make a custom bowl from aluminum stock because the original rotted out and the internet wasn't as alive with aftermarket solutions or parts for these. Sure miss that bike.

In the 70’s I had the low level Briggs @ Stratton scrub brake, centrifugal clutch or more simple description WORTHLESS. I dreamed of a Honda mini trail or the Benneli or the Bridgestone. Of not to leave out the Honda ATC 90 three wheelers! Yes those were good times!

Very nicely progressing to restoration! I've wondered what might happen when there's a malfunction on the test track. Good recovery! Is it possible to some how reseal the original tank from the inside, w/o throwing $$$, since that's the purpose of these vids? Have a great week!
