@@kennethpauldeguzman8802 I agree anime wasn't perfect. Like the whole Priscilla vs Claire fight being the anime final battle was too soon to happen. I personally think the studio who produce the anime did made terrible decisions and not use the soruce manga as the source materia but at the same time the manga at the time was still ongoing. I guess imo why the studio decided to put the whole claire vs Priscilla fight as the cliffhanger was beacuse they were close to where the manga was currently going. And They didn't want put any fillers like Naruto, One piece, and other anime series. I'm happy that we discussed about this series. And Hopefully someday we can get a FMA Brotherhood like reboot. Claymore was by far one of the most stoically beautiful manga I've read. I never gave the show much of a chance, I always thought Yagi's artwork was way too beautiful to pass up not seeing it in full force. The differences between the Claymores can be too subtle for some people, but for me, the fact that they could be distinguished at all from each other, for each and every claymore in the series to be in someway set apart from the others despite all contributing to the hopeless and melancholy tone of the series ESPECIALLY without any of them being a Mary Sue, I think is highly commendable. I don't know if there's actually a term for this aspect of the show, but I've never seen many manga be refined enough that Claire actually has to learn new techniques in the show and use various strategies to survive and can't just muscle through her problems, yet so brutal to the point where there was more limb loss than blood loss since Claymores can reattach limbs. Its also incredibly well written. It really doesn't just wait around before throwing something new at you. You just get introduced to Claire's ability to predict Yoma attacks and she immediately fights Ophelia who renders it useless.

I think you should give the anime a chance. It ended horribly because the manga was not completed at the time. I think it did a good job. Doesn't compare to the manga but I still think it is worth the watch. The fights that were animated were pretty good. I think if it were to get a reboot with the same animation, it would be good. Not that it needs a reboot, just that if it got one with a good animation style it would be good.

I loved the show, but I have a niggling thought; If that were a game, I'd be very upset. Level up, gain triple melee speed , and unlimited ranged attacks. The enemies from then on have ranged Invulnerability, or a 10 foot debuff field and inflict slow.

i really, really loved the claymore manga🔥 the only issue i had with the manga is the fact you cant tell most of the characters apart by looks. the author has a particular style of drawing, The manga most definitely need a part two they where a lot of plot shown but never expanded on, too bad that will never happen because its been over since 2014😔

Yeah, Claymore is a great Manga in spite if the fact that characters look very similar. Most of the differences are VERY subtle. The only ones that have anything distinctive are Clare, Galatea, Riful, Rafaela, Undine, and Deneve. Six out of well over twenty female characters and even then they have a few similarities.

Claymore desperately needs to be re-animated. I read the series back in either 2020 or 2021 and they literally animated half the story. Things were about to get SOOOOO good. I will say the show stuck closely with the manga, so it was really great in story and in animation… until the last three episodes where they made their own ending

No they didn't even animate half of the story and the ending scene was different in the anime than in the same scene in the manga. This is maybe a quarter or less of the full story.

They didn't not animated half the story Claymore manga had been axed/dropped by the publisher when it was animated. So the studio just animated what they had, wrapped it up the best they could. I don't remember how, but claymore got picked again and the story was then finished.

@@ExileXCross That is incorrect. The manga ran seemlessly on monthly jump until the magazine itself was ended then weekly jump until October 2007 which was a full month after the anime ended. The manga was then picked up the next month on it's new publisher for it's first issue due to the mangaka signing a new deal with that publisher due to stronger leverage after the anime pick up which happens a lot in this industry. The mangaka decided to change publishers, it wasn't the publisher axing it. The anime stopped after completing volume 11 of the story with a new ending. At the time the manga had already released the chapters that ended up being the first 13 volumes. This is 2 full volumes or approximately 10-12 chapters further than the anime was when it ended it's production. The reason the anime ended was because the manga had not yet completed the next arc of the story and the mangaka didn't want to sign a deal for another anime season later on.

It caught up to the manga and had to change the story entirely just like Hellsing TV and Full Metal Alchemist. They gave Hellsing and FMA remakes that were true to their respective mangas, but Claymore never got the remake once the manga was finished.

For all of you that felt the anime is lacking or short. They only released a first batch of episodes to see how much attention the series would get. Sadly enough, it didnt get enough attention which led the studio to not finish the anime. This was many years ago and Claymore got into the spotlight years after they had already decided on this. I'm a huge Cleaymore fan and actually got into contact with the studio since I was really stubborn back then and wanted to know if they had plans to continue the series once it became really popular.
