Hope Evan Turner sees this and revises the package to include some of your mods/hacks.

I hope he does too :P I think that the frame kit is perfect as-is (and at a very good price). The SFG mounts are an easy fix (if necessary) and if they shipped them the way I used them it would definitely increase cost. It would be great to have a battery pad included though, that fits both the 30,5x30,5 and the 20x20 holes.

Thank you mate! Just to be clear, the pilot flying was KokoblokoFPV, not me :)

what are these sfg mounts? I think you missed a cable on your crossfire module. Needs 4 (rx, tx). I would like to say that sometimes instead of using heatshrink you can use conformal coating to avoid components touching other components. The way you attached your antennas is horrible near the frame.
@muteFPV4 жыл бұрын
The SFG mounts and braces are side force generators and are supposed to improve cornering. I did not miss the cable, the pilot this build was meant for did not need the telemetry side of crossfire so I used only one. This pilot also requested that the antennas are as protected as possible, on the frame arms - durability is far more important and the range is more than enough for a racing course. As for conformal, yes, you could do that too - but if a component touches on the frame, vibrations may slowly remove the coating and you end up potentially shorting that component. Heatshrink is a very good and easy way of protecting non-stackable boards like the VRx and Rx in this case.

@@muteFPV like you give a fuck about telemetry when you racing ;p

Awesome video! Looks neat and light, will have to try this one. Btw, how narrow are the arms? I know the are 5mm thick but these look so narrow. How dose it behave in crashes?
@muteFPV4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't have it here anymore so I can't measure it for you. Many local pilots fly with this frame and they say it is pretty robust with the SFG plates. I have seen broken arms but after very hard crashes. Everything breaks if you crash the right way anyway :P

@@muteFPV did R&D with a custom design for the past 3 years now, so don't get me started on broken arms and stuff :)) Thanks man for the reply

You've never had the high-voltage running through that ESC board interfere with the rx's ability to receive?
@muteFPV4 жыл бұрын
The pilot this build was meant for (KokoblokoFPV) already had an identical build with no Rx issues.
@DavidHanniganJr4 жыл бұрын
@@muteFPV Yeah, cuz I used to think, 'Man that's the best place for a RX!" But a couple crash quads (due to interference) later, and I don't think so no more. At least not without some kind of anti-interference plate betwixted them anyways.

Hmmmmm what parts did you use that are different to mine? Any additional 3D prints? Did you use the same SFG side plates or the bigger ones?
