An interesting character, Mutsumi seriously have a communication issue, bet it gonna reach its climax at some point lol My speculation on her goal tho, maybe she wanna be in a band with Sakiko, if Sakiko quit, no reason for her to stay anymore, when Sakiko asked her to join, she immediately agree, no question asked, as we can see from ep13. Tho with a clear goal, she isn't ready to hurt anyone, as she's still shows concern to her ex bandmates, and wants everyone to make up with each other

This is a very good take & I defo agree! Whilst Mutsumi definitely does have some communication issues (most likely from the treatment she gets from Soyo etc) I do think she wants the best for everyone! I believe Mutsumi wants to make amends with Sakiko hence why she’s in the band :) I hope they do some exploration into Mutsumis motivations & dynamic with the band in the upcoming anime!!

@@-oribu- Her communication issues aren't Soyo/Sakiko's fault lol, its mentioned in a lot of official sources that she has ALWAYS (i.e., before crychic) tended to stay quiet because often when she speaks up she accidentally words things in a way that makes the situation worse. (If anything it's probably a product of being the child of two celebrities) A key example of this is the scene in the beginning of the first episode, in an interview w/ the scriptwriter and some of the other creators they talk about how sakiko really did intend to just leave the band and not break it up, but mutsumi said her "i never enjoyed being here" line because she didn't want all the animosity and blame to fall on just sakiko, but that ended up driving everyone apart even further. ftr I love mutsumi too but like...yeah I just wanted to clear that up haha I like talking about the cast

Ahhh she's such an interesting character I'm so excited to see more of her dynamics with the rest of the cast w the avemuji anime. that's how you know theyre all well written, when people are able to have nice long convos about them :]

Mutsumi is indeed very well written & I’m very excited to see what happens in the anime, I will most certainly be making another scenepack where people can discuss in the comments :3

Soyo has an incredibly unhealthy mindset & is unable to move on. Although I don’t agree with Sakikos actions & the way she ended the band Soyo isn’t in the right here, Mutsumi has done nothing to deserve the treatment she gets from the others. Also obviously she doesn’t want the band back together like I previously said it’s very unhealthy

Why would she help Soyo when Soyo is so desperately clinging to something that’s not even plausible, Sakiko doesn’t want to be in the band anymore or even associated with the members. Also like I said Soyo mostly has Mutsumi for the purpose of bringing the band back together & getting info on Sakiko (as shown many times)
