Nathan Brendon madam Sangeeta. In her early days directed wonderful films, not sure why after her sabbatical break she made b grade films on her return starting with Khlona 1996. The only bearable films of her recent works are, Nikkah 1998, Qaid 1999 and Reshman 2000. Not as good as her early work though.

Basically this film was derived from Rajinder Singh Bedi's famous novel "Aik Chadar Meli Si". India has also made an art film with the same title of this novel. Sangeeta' direction of this film is very good. Nadeem did his job well but in my humble opinion, Nadeem's physique and method of acting were not suited for this role. Since in majority of films made by Sangeeta/Kavita home production, Nadeem played hero therefore traditionally Nadeem was casted in this film. Despite, Nadeem did his role very well. However, Ghulam Mohiyuddin did great job and so was done by Kavit and Sangeeta as an actress. Music of the film was superb and represents Sikh culture and tone. Summing up, to treat a complex subject of literature was in itself a difficult job and the film in this regard was a great success!
