I started a pipe six months ago and feel like I have mastered it with Muttnchop and other videos !!! KZbin is a wonderful thing !!! Feel sorry for the guys that started a pipe before KZbin !!! Must have been frustrating !!! Took me three months and had it down !!!

Mike, that's the main reason I do these videos, the sooner someone can catch on to enjoying a pipe using correct techniques the better, I am glad my videos have helped... Happy pipping my friend 👍

I had tried pipes twice before and knew nothing after a few weeks I quit and now with the knowledge that Muttonchop has provided me I'll be able to enjoy this for a good long time.

I've been smoking a ton of the new Bengal Slices, and I find I enjoy it as much in this warmer Spring weather as I did during the cool winter. I agree that VAs and VaPers are great with warm weather.

@macasiskaishak28086 жыл бұрын
that is a good idea to i didn't really think of that exactly but maybe a monthly rotation of blends or one every day blend some others to mix it up I've gotten around to finding a blend break in my pipe in the amount of tobbaco I was looking for to learn how smoke it because it's a style I don't have experience with so I'm practically starting from scratch so these videos have helped build a foundation to help learn it better and faster

I take time of day into consideration as well. I almost always smoke a heavier blend with Latakia in the evening no matter what the season. I also like Burleys a lot in the Summer, especially in a cob. I really like that Oriental Va/Per genre as well. Take care man
@MuttnchopPiper8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matt, my goal with this video was to give new pipe smokers a place to start, and they can modify it as they see fit. I am a lot like you, I like a Latakia in the evening as well, I usually smoke Early morning Pipe or an aromatic as my first pipe of the day, then move into Balkans or va/pers during mid day, and a heavy English at night. 😊

+Muttnchop Piper well it was a good video sir 😀 so I noticed you did a video on Scwabbs in Lexington. That's my main shop that I go to. Jeff is really nice. If you are still in Ky maybe I will see you there some day.

Thank you MuttnChop! I've learned so much from you with all your videos. I'm about to start piping, I'm still waiting for my 2 sets of corncob pipes to arrive within a week or so from tobaccopipes.com I can't thank you for all the preparation you've given me so far. I'm so excited. My first order of tobacco is Newminster 23 blackberry brandy and CAO Moontrance. Eileen's Dream was sold out. Look forward to watching more videos. Your blend club has been a huge help! Cheers, and happy piping to you too!

When is the best time to smoke a cavendish blend? Especially the black one.
@conanme3992 Жыл бұрын
Question for you Chris: you said you had a rotation of 16 blends with 8 auxiliary blends, of which you made many different videos. But, in those 16 (or 8 aux) you must smoke only a select few in each season, correct? As in, you have virginias in your rotation, but you’ll smoke those usually in summer, and so during the winter, you’ll smoke more English blends, and so, not going through all your rotation in each season? How does that work? Thanks!

Solid recommendations! Once again, I wish I would have come across a video like that when I started... We have very similar taste in tobacco and like you, my rotation depends on the seasons. The only difference is that I love smoking latakia blends during the fall. There is nothing like being in the woods, smelling the dead leaves and feeling the cool air and the taste/smell of latakia... Have you ever tried a blend called Star of the East? Great video work!

Thanks man,mi have tried Star of the East Flake, it's amazing, one of my favorites. 😎

Hello Chris this is Gw again, try drama reserve that another good oriental for spring. When do you like to smoke va/per blends? I ask because a switch went on the first of October to start up vapor blends again and I stocked up on captain earles and AAB. Here’s another one do you like deeper bowls for milder blends? Also have you tried any peter heinrichs? Have a blessed day.
@MuttnchopPiper7 жыл бұрын
Gardner Webb - Fall is when I like smoking Va/per blends, I love Drama Reserve, it's one of the tobacco's I have Cellared, I also like several of the captain earl blends, very very nice. I like shallower bowls, but fatter, they are called pots, and I have tried Peter Heinrich's tobacco, another good one. 👍👍👍

@muttnchoppiper sorry for the long reply, but i just started piping and have 1 pipe and 2 local aromatics from my local cigar store. We can't get pipe tobacco in Texas anymore. How many pipes should I have to try different blends? And for what blends per pipe? Thanks in advance!
@MuttnchopPiper7 жыл бұрын
Braxton Burrows - my advice is this eventually, it's ideal to have 8 pipes, 1 for each day of the week, and 1 dedicated to Aromatic blends. The seven everyday pipes you should only smoke non aromatic blends, smoking 1 pipe each day, I typically smoke 3 bowls a day of different non aromatic blends, then I do a daily cleaning at the end of the day on that pipe, then let it rest for 7 days, that way I am guaranteed a nice dry pipe. 👍👍👍
@braxtonburrows68037 жыл бұрын
Muttnchop Piper - Thanks! So just to be sure. I will be buying a new pipe today, so i will have two. Is it okay to use different blends of aromatics in one pipe and different non aromatics blends in the other as i build my rotation and figure out what I like? Thanks again!! 👍👍👍
@MuttnchopPiper7 жыл бұрын
Braxton Burrows - absolutely, that's perfect, but make sure you alternate, smoke your non aromatic pipe today, then your aromatic pipe tomorrow you have to let the pipe rest and dry out after smoking it. 👍👍👍

Muttnchop Piper - Thank you so much sir! I love your channel and have learned so much from you. I hope you continue to make videos! 😃

Braxton Burrows hogwash I Live in Austin and get sobraine at pipe world! Try each new blend in a corn cob or! a pipe for each blend.... one for aromatics then one for va/pets as I can attest to a different flavor profile depending on which pipe I smoke it in. Side note a shallower bowl I like richer blends and indirectly proportional I prefer deeper bowls for lighter blends to obtain stronger or lighter flavors. Sincerely G.W.
