So hard to get rid of items in the closet that I've had for a long time. It's kind of a love affair. Thank you for giving me inspiration. Now it's time to go to my coat closet.

The comparison of your fuschia top with the coat is a good example of the difference that having colour analysis can make. The fuschia is beautiful on you. (Tip if anyone is interested: To check whether someone has a warm or cool skin tone look at the veins on their inner wrist. If veins appear blue or purple tone it’s cool, if they are more green it’s warm and if it’s a mixture then neutral.) Thank you for such a helpful video, it has inspired me to dig through my old coats and accessories and sort out what I no longer wear/need. ❤

I have to admit I have loads of coats and jackets some really old . Some in loft ,some downstairs some in wardrobe in spare room and some I can't find ! I don't wear coats that often either as I tend to wear different types of jackets . I really need to sort it !!!

When donating to charity shops please can people remember that they don't have washing facilities so please wash/ clean items before donating. Sorry to mention it but as a volunteer I sort rather a lot of grubby donations, particularly coats. Quick tip - sometimes going over the coat with a damp microfibre cloth is sufficient to revive a coat and clean light surface dirt.

I got rid of a John Rocha coat that wasn't warm enough, and it was too tight! Also, a trench coat that was too 'floppy'. I have a pure wool red coat similar to yours and a beige wool Joules coat that do the job when I want to be warm and smart. Most of my others are walking coats 🐕😂

That brown check scarf. Was it FabFitFun? Because I’ve got one very like it. Never worn it but I’m soft autumn so I guess it’d suit me. I have a drawer full of scarves, and it’s a good point about colour suitability.

I called a color expert in my area in the California desert she wanted over $1000 to have my colors done. I said oh I’m sorry I don’t have the budget for that. I would love to have it done, but not for that price. If you could have somebody contact me that does it for a reasonable price I do it.

Especially with outerwear, before you donate to charity/thrift shops call your local churches or homeless organizations. Have the men in your life do the same. They may be serving a community that really needs those items and cant afford todays thrift prices. And yes PLEASE make sure they are clean and usable.

Why did you think the first Red scarf not suit you, it had the same red as your shirt and I thought it looked ok with your skintone... I agreed with the rest. The gloves from your mum must be hard to toss, I kept my dads braces (not the new ones in the packet, the old wornout ones that he wore until he passed❤)
@Myover50fashionlife11 күн бұрын
Because despite on screen the blouse weirdly looking red, it’s actually pink. The scarf is orange red. It really does not show the difference on many screens . On an iPad the colours look right. It’s strange.

lol I donate stuff frequently and honestly I know my style so I have things wear out instead of lying about. Girl that light glam coat I'd be wearing all the time. Its so cute! I wear the fingerless over fingered when its really cold. I'm unloading all the high rise trousers I have. I hate them. They sit right under my boobs. Awful. I also have no storage so I'm forced to clean out in order to bring in.

I prefer the orange red coat on you better than both the fur coats, I see lots of people on utube who have had their colours anaylsied and get rid of other colours from their wardrobe I don’t know if it’s the light but on the camera they actually look good on them. I hope this doesn’t sound too critical I have four winter coats : a camel coat 30 years plus a long grey military style coat 20 years plus a black puffa coat most practical coat and a blue puffa for walking the dog.the black coat who saw me wearing the blue coat and said I needed a new coat but I still walk the dog in the old one
@Myover50fashionlife8 күн бұрын
It is the light on camera. If you see the blouse I’m wearing as red the light is wrong. As I said in the video, on my pc I see red but on my iPad the correct fascia. The coat is an orange red and really doesn’t work in real life.

I think skinny jeans are just downright ugly and unflattering - I’ve always hated them - unless you’re a model. And now they just look dated, frumpy and old fashioned. And I personally think high rise jeans on anyone over the age of 25 are just as ugly and unflattering, just emphasising the tummy and making your bum look huge. Mid rise is way more flattering on anyone.
