You dont realize it until you pay attention to the lyrics but this song is still about his mental illness. He talks about how his thoughts drift to wanting to join his grandpa in heaven but he tells himself to ignore himself. He uses the grounding technique of going over what he still wants to do on this earth and tells himself "I love me." But the song is peaceful. He's learned to make his peace with his illness and can handle it now. He's learned it's ok to hype himself up. As someone just diagnosed with depression and anxiety, his lyrica hit me really hard. It is stuff I tell myself when my symptoms come creeping in.

I'm in tears while writing this. I remember all those memories we made together as your BABYz, and I'll always be proud of being your fan all these past years. I would just love to say, thank you for everything Yongguk. Your music always gave me strength when I was weak and kept me company when I was lonely. 6th March 2017. I remember that day when I decided to end my life, I was seeing only black in front of my eyes and hearing only dark thoughts inside of my head. I didn't feel anything other than pain and I wanted to feel anything anymore. I attempted suicide but I was saved, leaving me with a big injury on my face. I wasn't doing any better until a day later, Wake Me Up was released. It was released in time. I was never deceived by the music that B.A.P make, I knew that. But I remember that I cried a lot, it was just so overwhelming. Knowing that Yongguk had finally came back to B.A.P and he was doing okay made me so happy. I forgot about everything that was wrong in my life at that time. Yongguk was one of the first artists that I loved, respected and cheered for most of my years. I liked how he was never afraid to pour up his feelings and thoughts in lyrics about real things that we are living or how his music was all about issues that no one talks about these days. His lyrics made me think deeper into things and it made stronger with time, this is how a great artist really is. Yongguk is that kindhearted but though man, but inside of him, there is always a dreamy kid that never stops working for his dreams just to make them come true. I'm just sharing this here because I want to show him and every other BABY or any fan and human being, how it is possible for us to overcome the hardships in our lives. I want everyone on this earth to know that they are more worth than just standards of this cruel society that we live in, you are more than a beautiful creature that was made and given a chance to be alive, you are more than those words of hate that are thrown on you. Simply, you deserve to be happy regardless of the problems you have. I may not know what kind of problems those are, but I believe that even when problems are not the same, the pain stills feel the same. Love yourself, get rid of negativity and shout out loud to the world, you are stronger now. Sorry if there is a typo, I'm writing this from the heart without even looking at the screen.
