The only thing I could think of was this blindfold and it’s significance. But I remember being at a BAP concert and sitting front row. Yongguk wouldn’t look anyone directly in the eyes and he’d rap with his eyes closed during his parts. I remember him saying once that he doesn’t look at fans when he’s on stage because it makes him nervous. This whole video puts his panic disorder in perspective. Yongguk , we love you and I hope one day you can work past the pain you’re felling. Although it’s easier said than done. 💚

The video is a perfect description of what depression feels like. I feel so proud and sorry at the same time. It's saddening that Yongguk has to have this phase of his life. But I feel proud that somehow he is working on overcoming it and working hard to achieve his dreams. His artistry and passion reminded me of why I fell in love with his music and keep coming back for more eversince the I Remember era. This is just the first song from his album and I already feel so shookt. Imagine if he dropped the whole album. For some reference, hikikomori is a Japanese term to describe someone who locks them self away from life, this usually happens due to pressure from parents, bullying, trauma or depression, and the largest victim group is young men from 15-25, it's a spreading crisis that's effecting around 1,000,000 people in Japan alone, this crisis is spreading to the US, UK, Italy and South Korea, I can't tell if he's writing the song about himself or his outlook but either way this song perfectly explains the pain that a Hikikomori would go through.

for those who knows his story behind this song tears takes 0,01 seconds to fall. He did so much for B.A.P, the boys did so much for each others, but T$ repayed it with nothing more than dust. B.A.P is a group that doesn't make a lot trap music (the music most of the peoples likes), they makes different genres and this is why peoples avoids them and it honestly makes no sense at all. Peoples were and are too lazy to even play a friggin' play button and broad their horizons, but this way made believe to Bang Yongguk that it was because he was the one who writed, produced and composed for B.A.P and T$ used this to pressure him and the boy. Making seriously think to such a King that: "Maybe if I don't write for B.A.P, they will get the popularity they had and deserves back", I this made him go through depression and anxiety aside from the label's pressure, if he ever thought that he was the cause of B.A.P losing fans I want to tell him this: its not the truth. We love the songs Bang Yongguk writes, produces and composes, B.A.P loves them too. This is because Yongguk is seriously a lyricist King and he proves it *_always_* everytime he releases something. I'm crying because Yongguk's MV reminds me a bit of Jonghyung's Lonely MV, how he says he wishes "I want to avoid the world" and that the "Darkness is his life" not saying that he's going to do something drastic nor am I trying to sound like a paranoid person, it's just some of his lyrics give me the sense of him crying out for a hug 😢 *If I can just hug idols in South Korea without them thinking I'm going to harm, or try anything on them, I would and despite the language barrier I hope they'd know that my hug is genuine and that I'm trying to tell them that it's going to be okay*

I remember studying about Hikikomori in my Abnormal Psych class. Its “western” equivalent is Agoraphobia but it’s still different. I’m not saying it’s not seen in western countries but it’s more common in collectivist cultures. In the case of Agoraphobia people avoid going outside because they’re anxious about having a panic attack. In the case of Hikikomori they refuse going out mostly because they’re embarrassed. They feel they’re making people around them uncomfortable and they’re embarrassed by that. It’s a cultural-bound syndrome so common in Japan and it usually goes unnoticed unfortunately. They often don’t get professional help because there’s usually a family member who supports them which just enforces their shut-in behaviour (they don’t have to even go out for their own basic needs since the family member provides it) and many families are ashamed of seeking psychiatric help. Plus Japan’s amazing delivery service and online costumer service has eliminated the need to actually go out so even if there’s no family member there’s always the internet ordering. They can even work at home. There’s actually a documentary about this boy in japan and he explains how he manages his life, it’s very interesting to watch.

I actually think its a good thing artists are putting out content that is more explicit in these matters. It means they are more open to talking about these issues which is the first step in recovery. Suicide and depression has a huge stigma across the world - we need artists and influential individuals to openly speak so the public can also face facts and accept these issues.

The ending where he's just laughing on the table really hit me. I don't know the lyrics but i interpreted it as reaching the point where you feel your life is going downhill and you've never felt in control of it no matter how hard you tried. You're only able to sit back for so long until the isolation consumes you and it amuses you (in a dark way) that you laugh because of the overwhelming intoxication from all the feelings you've bottled up. Your only interpretation of the mess in your head is that your just another pawn in this world where life has fucked you over. In the past, i once snapped and completely broke out in tears, and in the midst of it I started laughing. When your life is all over the place, so are your emotions and it's sad to hear yourself/others crying and then laughing within the same time span because that laughter is like the last string keeping this person sane and alive. Of course this is how I analysed this without knowing the actual lyrics except for the video and overall concept, but feel free to correct me❤stay strong to all of you out there struggling with life rn. I'm rooting for you because i know you can get through it💪

I still go through such panic attacks.. Push away everyone and feel suicidal... Then when am out of that attack.. Think even bigger..does this problem affect you today? What about tomorrow? You think maybe by the end of this month? How about a year-10 years from now? just for anyone that doesnt know, hikikomori is basically a japanese word for an extreme shut in. someone who stays at home avoiding all social contact, might not have a job or their job is online so they never go out, and this is for extended periods of time so teens staying at home for summer break dont count, its like 6 months+. a lot of hikikomori suffer from mental illness not anything physical that actually restrains them from going outside, theyr physically capable but depression, anxiety, fear of failure, or other things hold them back.
