Somewhere in my house is a stack of CD-Rs, several of them labeled “Chobits” in green marker, filled with episodes of the then-freshly fansubbed show in .mkv (or maybe even .divx) format, that I burned after classes in college. It is in a big spindle full of at least a dozen other anime series from that time, and after bigger hard drives and streaming took over, that collection gathered dust both in fact and in memory. Until I heard this song again from you FUWAMOCO…I now remember humming this tune all the way back then all the time, on the way to class, when listening to mp3s at night in my dorm. It’s a very sweet memory that your cover called up, of a simpler time. Raise your hands if this was also you 20 years ago!

This is such a sweet cover. Fuwamoco's voices really do suit it perfectly, and it's so well mixed and put together. Thank you for choosing to cover this! My first Clamp manga was Chobits, and they immediately became one of my favourite mangaka (is that still the right term when it's a group?). I remember getting all the dvds to the series after they were released where I lived. It was so long ago I can't even remember who recommended it to me, or if I found it by myself, but it'll always hold a special place in my old otaku heart. I've always loved the opening, it's just so catchy. Round Table did a really good job with it.

While I watched Chobits long before, I actually took an interest in ROUND TABLE while watching Aria: The Animation. The aesthetic they create in every song off APRIL, DISTANCE, and their album NINO is so lovely. I can't think of another artist that makes me feel so happy and fuzzy/fluffy inside.
