Hwasa was told she was too fat because she didnt fit koreas standards but in a concert this year i believe she talked about it and performed some songs it was really cool how raw she was about the whole situation. They also crush any genre: jazz, r&b, hip hop, pop, rock, classics etc. No other girl group has 4 Vocalists, 4 Choreographers, 4 Rappers, & 4 Writers/Composers. They also all have a huge part in their visual and concept, which most pop artists usually don’t. These 4 grown women are the best of the best in the industry. Hwasa didn’t really become popular until she guest starred on Korean reality shows “Hyena on the Keyboard”, where she co-wrote a hit song with Rapper, Loco & “I Live Alone”. The latter show helped non-fans of Mamamoo realize how down to earth, genuine & humble she is. Even though she’s a Queen & a baddie when she performs, she’s in reality super cute and softhearted. I know this comment was 2 years ago lol but Hwasa WAS underrated and unliked before she appeared on the show “I Live Alone”. She used to get hate for her appearance and people thought her facial expressions while performing were weird. She’s even said on an interview that people petitioned for her to be removed from the group. I’m just glad she’s a strong person and got through all of that. Now she’s successful and truly deserves that success.

Mamamoo is the perfect girl group. Their music is so different and mature, and the girls are incredibly talented. They honestly deserve the same level of recognition as Little Mix (and they both deserve even MORE!). I'm biased though, Mamamoo is my favourite k-pop girl group (the only one, really, that I enjoy).
