Best brass section I have ever heard. Not one stands out over the others, they blend perfectly in tone and volume. It is what a true brass section in any orchestra or band should sound like.

you mean that here the trumpets hold back, the trombones play normal (for trombones) and the tuba shakes the house invoking eldritch powers.... Yes, the outcome is perfect and I listen to it again and again :D
@warwickthekingmaker72813 жыл бұрын
the trumpets aren´t holding back. Trombones can and do play louder than the trumpets. For example,, 1:35 is how a trumpet sounds when you play it extremely loudly and it´s not a sounds you ever want to hear from a trumpet in an orchestra.

It more often takes a 60-piece orchestra to produce the depth and complexity of sound that this 7-man ensemble creates as matter of course. For pure entertainment, Mnozil Brass is hard to beat. And yes, their acapella vocal are astounding. Many thanks guys.

Tough to compare this group with the Canadian Brass. The texture of the ensemble is so different. I miss the F. Horn sound. I know the notes are covered between tpt.3 and tbn. 1, but the richness of the horn is something that helps with cohesiveness from top to bottom. Both ensembles are wonderful and worth paying to see in person.
