Brilliant you two, and spending Saturday night to edit and upload that for us on Easter Morning is above and beyond. Thank you. I just had a section of rub rail repaired on my vessel, not cheap. Pull, repair Gelcoat, prep, and rebedding the new section is a real job. One does not just unscrew the dented one and fasten in a new one. Take care and thanks again!

Another great video. One other issue with catamarans is that not many marinas can lift them out of the water (due to the wide beams). This is more an issue with inland waterways as opposed to coast marines, however, it has to be a major marine that will likely have that size equipment.

Comment from Vancouver, just to the north, regarding a flybridge: We use ours on almost every cruise, even Dec.-Feb. It's personal preference, of course, but we wouldn't own a boat without one.

Love your videos of our home waters. We have an 86 Tolly 44 CPMY that has a winter slip on Lake Union and the rest cruising season (for us) is at Cap Sante in Anacortes. We have a canvas inclosed fly bridge and I always drive from the upper helm, all seasons. I love the view and sight lines. Our lower helm is in the main salon (no pilot house) and that doesn't appeal to me. Also, with the locks, I always, always tell the crew theat the lock crew is God, do not do anything unless they tell you to. And if you don't understand, tell them. Intimidating, yes, but I've never had a problem. Keep up the good videos.

Thanks for another enjoyable video. Super impressed with your self control on boating accident. I imagine Shawn does not suffer fools easily. Did the wooden boat captain back off the throttle and lose rudder effectiveness? And dare I say it, OK I will, Shawn seems to have learned from Christmas Dino-gate to embrace the silly fun. I recall long ago, when I had been married only a few years, friends teasing me for things like this by saying it was another link in the chain of domesticity. But of course it is really an increase in the ties that bind. Well done.

As a boater on lake Washington, if you want to make it to Andrew’s Bay with your clearance, head down toward Newport Shores. The bridge connecting Bellevue to Mercer island has the height accommodations for your 43... just some friendly boating advice. Love your videos... maybe stop by Seattle Boat company in Newport next time you need diesel, we would love to have you!

We’re in seattle and our boat has a pilot house and a fly bridge. The fly bridge is great for lounging at anchor and for better 360 visibility for docking & locking but otherwise we are almost always in the pilot house when underway.

Oh boy, I'm going to try and not go into a rant here, and keep it short. I was born and raised on Lake Washington and have been boating my entire life. Over the past few years western Washington transplants with far more money vs brains have packed both lake Washington and Union. Things to remember, once you pass through those locks into lake Union, you've left the world of maritime law and right away. It's a turkey shoot. We no longer boat in those waters after way too many close calls either involving us or witnessed. Please be careful! Assume the boats around you are piloted by people who have absolutely no clue what they are doing, and have 0 situational awareness especially in Lake Union. Very sorry this happened to you two!

(I couldn't see the port side) If they planned on being good Samaritans they should have exchanged information with you on their second pass. If you want to go to Andrew's you can go down the East Channel (east side of Mercer Island) and wrap your way around. I-90 is extremely high through East Channel.
