Thumbs up for the prius! I drive 100 miles a day and I noticed no one is helping me pay my bills.... and for sure no one has ever offered to buy me gasoline. If gas was free i'd drive a truck that gets 8mpg. 48-52 MPG is the jam!

I’m gonna have to have one of those 7310’s. Bought a 620 p a month ago thinking the 7310 was a myth and now they are here. 620 is really nice for 59cc class saw. Will run 27” just as fast as my 036 pro with 20” bar. Can’t hang with my 660 and 460 but I think that 7310 sure will. I’m slowly becoming an echo guy, started with the 2511 in the tree and bucket and then jumped to 355 and 620. Keep the videos coming, I sure do appreciate them.

Stock 130 seconds ported 57 seconds. Good work! It sounded strong every where. I saw a glimpse inside a cylinder on another video they have 6 transfer ports. I thought thought to myself they might have some real potential. Obviously they do!

I know these OPAMA tachs well back from the R&D dpt' I used to work in on the prototype chain for the STIHL GS461 Rock Boss. I really loved them as they arrived from their 'motherland' on those machines ready to roll, fresh new testing 77cc engines so you had the working time as well on each and every one of those engines from day one, shown for several seconds every time you shut the engine off or just pull-start the engine once to just read the current runtime. They're were velcro'ed to the air filter cover so you could see the RPM well while you test-cut or tune it and still remove it for maintenance. Good times..

Not knowing much about moding saws, would a different sprocket help?

7 tooth sprocket less speed more torque, 8 tooth sproket more speed less torque for shorter bars.

Do we need a run the on 572 with that bar and chain on now🤣.... that was a gnarly chunk of ash with branch union. Does it compete with the ported 572 Mitch?😁. I was surprised how well the stock saw did with 36" full house. Though the ported saw did the cut in under a minute roughly....piss-balled it🤣👌
@mweba14 жыл бұрын
I've officially spent all of this log but I'd guess the 572 would pull in at 1:06ish. That ash union was brutal for sure.. Was pleasantly surprise the saw held 11.5K with a 36 fairly consistent.

@@mweba1 From what I seen the 572 has very little torque. I am not sure I would like that. This is not my personal experience. Just what I seen other pro loggers say.

@@ironwoodworkman4917 It's a high rpm saw, if you drop it out of power band, they fall on their face quick. I can fix that to some extent.

@@mweba1 I see...I prefer torque over rpm. It looks like the 500i has good torque. But the price $ Wow. How is the 7310 with torque?

7 or 8 tooth sprocket? The 572 lacking torque is surprising being its long stroke. Do they have a short rod compared to the stroke they have?

I was looking to buy a saw and don't want to buy a saw that's too small. From the sounds of it you like the 7310p even if it's stock but would that be the saw you would pick for a general purpose saw? I was looking around 50cc saws but most only pull a 20' bar/chain. Kind of a difficult question being 1 saw can't do it all that's why everybody has a collection so maybe a good starting point. cs 501p, cs620p By the way thanks for all the videos. You do work on saws for a living too or just yourself?

I like a two saw minimum approach myself. 501P for my limbing and small-medium diameter wood. For the large wood either the 620P or 7310P. If you need a saw to run a 28"-32" bar on a regular basis go with the 7310P. 18"-24" bar with occasional use of a 28" then I'd go with 620P. The 620P will handle a 28" bar, but the 7310P will do it better. Both the 620P and 7310P are too heavy for high volume limbing. If you can only buy one saw, buy the 620P.
